| Is *anyone* in Fort Worth? As ya'll know, our house burnt... and we're staying in a hotel. Pixie is staying with us in the hotel, but she can't stay unsupervised. My husband has to work, and I have school... Is there anyone here locally that can keep her for just the days the next few days? I'm off Friday and we're hoping to be somewhere like maybe an apartment where we can leave her by next week. We will pick her up and keep her at night. She is in heat and can't be around unfixed male dogs. She is also very traumatized and is having severe separation anxiety when I leave her... so she will need human interaction and lots of love. She should be OK if someone else is there for her, but I can't traumatize her any more by putting her in a stranger's kennel and leaving her alone. Thanks in advance if anyone's here.

| I am so sorry about your house. I am in Fort Worth and would love to help. But, I think my husband would kill me......and there is the fact that only 2 out of 3 of my girls are mentally stable. Darn, I wish I could help. I work at home too so I could be with her all day. |

| Have you tried a local doggie day care? That way, she'd have plenty of interaction & be around other dogs and people. I wish I knew of one in FW, but I don't. I'm sure they have some, though. I'm so sorry to hear about your house.

| I haven't thought about that... I don't know how those work either. How can she have lots of interaction and not be around male dogs? Does any know?

| I know that most doggie daycares require that the dogs be spayed and neutered I wish I was closer, I would help you out in a second. I wish you luck and I'm so sorry about your house. |

| I'm not going to go find it because I can't deal with it anymore, but if you're interested in Baby Caddo, there's a thread in the sick forum about him being ill.... and kinda tells what all has been happening.

But this is her first heat... she doesn't need to be breeding. If it weren't her first though, they were right for her, and if I had a house to raise pups in, I'd let her go anyway Although if I had a house, she wouldn't need to go.

| I'm talking to teffiemoore on the phone... she said to tell you that Pixie just started bleeding yesterday. She doesn't think that Pixie is fertile yet and won't be this week. I don't know much about heats and breeding and such yet...
