| There have been 3 fights in my home and sometimes I have had 13 dogs. They scare you half to death when they start their stuff. One fight was between 2 males that belonged to my friend. When I think about it now, I know I was not smart cause I did my usual alpha mom thing..grabbed both of them up by the scruff of the neck, shook them hard and yelled NO and pulled them apart. It worked but scared the beejeebees out of me later. I have done that one other time recently..the 3rd one my hubby was in the room with the girls who both had puppies and he let them out at the same time. He did what you should never do,,be half-hearted and try to separate them. He got a nip on his finger and well, whined, for 3 dys. The girls are retired and in pet homes in different parts of the stat. BTW, one of the girls was Whisper who is Char's daughter that Yorkie Rose spoke about. You can see her pic elsewhere as her avatar in a pic she took when she owned her.. Innocence personnified!!! I try to let them work out their issues as long as they understand that "what mamma sez, momma means" and stop when I say the word.. |
