| First vet visit? We are picking Coco up next weekend from the breeder. The breeder has been giving her all of the necessary vacs up to 8 weeks ( which she will be this Sunday). My other yorkie, Maxi, is having dental cleaning on March 2. Is it ok to wait that long to have Coco's first vet visit? It's only a few days, but just wanted everyone's opinions. Thanks! |

| I wouldn't wait..... most breeders give a guarantee only if you have the puppy vet checked within 24-48 hours. Heaven forbid something be wrong genetically with the puppy, you want proof that you had her checked out right away. Oh..... and Congrats!!

| I agree. We will be getting a pup soon as well, and we are going straight to the vet from the breeder's.

| When we got Piper I had her at the Vet the very next day. Good thing, she had coccidia & giardia. I'm glad I kept her away from Misha until I got her to the Vet. Misha never got sick. Always take them in as soon as possible, you never know what they may have. Don't want your other babies getting infected.
