| Car Seats Saved The Monkeys! Well, everything in Albany is closed today except RPI (where I work). Knowing that I wouldn't be home until late tonight I wanted to take the monkeys to daycare. I put them in their car seats this morning and we left. Got around the corner and a car pulled out in front of me. It was inches away so I turned to the right and ran straight (well more like up) into a snow bank! We hit pretty hard. Thank God they were strapped in. Needless to say my car is in the shop getting a new tire and alignment (I blew out the tire) and the guy who ran out in front of me has already called and paid for it (there really are nice people left). The monkeys are fine, just a little scared I think. Everyone MUST have a car seat and use it!!!!! I think it's the only reason they aren't hurt. |

| oh wow..that is very scary. it is one of my worst fears with maggie. i dont have a car seat for her but her travel bag gets strapped in pretty good. i may go get a car seat this weekend!! glad everyone is ok. good thinking on your part. hitting the car would have been much worse. glad they are nice people and have taken responsibility. many people would have driven off. you have angels watching over you girlie!!

| I'm so thankful you guys are fine. Zoey sends kisses to you all. AT least they were nice to pay so you can get a new tire & alignment, i usually get flipped off even if i'm in the right. Lol, i think i should stop feeding the ducks in my neighborhood, they're waiting for me by my door. |

| I have the same carseat, but only TJ, the 4 month old rides in it. The other 2 are on each side of the carseat, but I have the seatbelt harness things for them. I'm hoping they are just as safe. I think they think they are "too big" for the carseat. WILL NOT stay in them, they jump over the side. Glad all is well. |
