| Skamper Ramp Training w/Cap'n Hef!! Cap'n Hef demonstrates the safety features of the scamper ramp. Most small animals do not how to get out of a water feature like a pool, pond or fountain if they accidentally fall in. The skamper ramp is an inexpensive solution that may save a life. | They are not very attractive, but they are small for a yorkie and rather inconspicuous. You can remove it if you are having a party or something too. |

| We bought & installed one this year in our pool too! It still hasn't been warm enough to go in yet but if they ever got in the water I am still concerned that they would find it? Do you have to train them for real? I don't think my Lexi would go in the water but you never know, accidents happen whereas Max would jump right in just like he does in my pond which is not deep. |

| Thanks so much for the info....We have a pool in our back yard that about sends shivers down my spine thinking of if Teddy fell in accidently so this will definitely help until we figure out a way to keep his skinny little butt out of the pool area. Does anyone have any ideas of what to put up on our fencing to make access unobtainable to them? |

| Very cool idea! If I had a pool, I'd definitely have one of those, too. LOL Btw, I wear the same bracelets every day. I have a pink breast cancer, and a red MS, as well as a red/yellow children's (but that one's too big & I don't wear it much).

| More of you have been asking about water safety and thought it would be good to bump this thread for those who missed it the first time. |

| That why I love this forum !!!! I cannot tell you how much I worried about my inground pool and Desi. If she fell in, there was no way she could climb the stairs and get out. If a leaf falls from a tree into the pool she would definitely go in after it (she chases everything) My husband and I have had many discussions on this very subject and came to the conclusion that we needed to cover the pool when its not being used (tremendous pain in the neck) but we couldn't think of any other way to keep her safe.. I am ordering the Skamper this minute. Thank you soooo much.... |
