| Ticks - Help!! OMG....I have pulled 4 ticks off of my babies this weekend - help!! I treat them with Advantage and thought they were safe but just read the box and it only references Fleas! Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do and what I should start using for the tick prevention on them? I have no idea where they could have gotten the ticks from and why all of a sudden now. It is so gross and not to mention the ticks are tiny like they are babies - just great I probably have a whole tick colony in my house now - right? UGH....this makes my skin crawl!! My poor babies - what a bad mommy I am!!

| I love revolution does fleas, ticks, ear mites, heartworms, mange mite I get it here Also I get a big bag of ortho...something granules its a red bag & treat the yard where the dogs are & as much as possible up to the wood line, I try to do this every couple months. You have to check them good, comb thru etc anytime they are out during tick season. Hope you can protect them. I hate ticks |

| Okay so I looked up Revolution since so many of you refrenced this medicine but it does not say anything about Ticks. I called my vet and they told me to put them on K-9 Avantatix which treats fleas, ticks, and misquitos. Does any one use this?

| Here is a article on all kinds of pests & preventatives http://animalpetdoctor.homestead.com/Fleas.html The American Dog tick is covered by revolution, not sure about the deer tick. Your vet wants you to buy a topical that will require you to buy a seperate heartworm med & return for more meds for earmites, another if your doggie gets a mange mite $cha ching$ I keep my dog protected from the discomfort of all that w/one med which is safer then being on several. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Peggy, I give my babies massages...meaning, I go all the way to the skin and gently rub it. Now, while I've never found a tick on my dogs, I have found burrs and grass tangled up near their skin.

| I use frontline too, and Pheobe never had a flea or tick, also make sure that is not a tick that has the lyme disease. |
