Introducing..........Queequeg Hello everyone. I thought I'd formally introduce myself finally. I got my first yorkie on January 12. I've wanted one for so long and have owned other breeds so I thought what am I waiting for? I have two female dachshunds right now. I usually pick my dogs by their eyes. Sounds very new age but their eyes say something to me. I've tried the whole temperament search but they always winded up totally different once we got home. This little girls eyes just tugged at my heart when I saw her and I had to have her! She is a dream! I am so in love that I want more yorkies! She is just an easy puppy. Loves attention and to be held. A dream to potty train. Shes only had one accident the whole time I've had her. She learned her name in one day and the word no in two. I have never seen my husband so taken with a puppy before as he is with her. She's just pretty darn perfect! I never believed in putting my dogs in anything other than sweaters; but for some reason with her I can't stop buying her dresses and bows! She's so tiny in stature that I have to get everything custom made to fit her properly. I wanted to attach pictures but it keeps saying error on page *shrugs*. Should I just use html?

Thanks for the welcome! Oh it's pronounced Qwee-qweg. Hope I did that right phonetically. I've already learned so much here. I'm pretty good with dog training, but I've never had a dog with actual hair before. When I first got her she was full of knots. I was going to shave her down before I saw this website and got so much help. Now her coat is easy to manage and growing in so beautifully. We have grooming sessions every morning and night. It's so funny because now she expects it! When she knows I"m going to do her top knot she just lays her head down on my lap and stays still (for the most part). She's such a prissy girl! She loves being primped and pampered.

LOL. Sort of. We always name our dogs after characters in our favorite shows. In one of our favorite shows the woman had a dog named Queequeg which she named after the character in Moby Dick. My husband and I liked the name so it stuck.

Thank you everyone for such a nice welcome! There are so many beautiful babies on here that it has inspired me to grow her coat long. It grows so fast so I'm sure it will be floor length in no time! I'm anxious to see her color when she gets older. I finally figured out how to post pictures! Here she is au natural. I usually have her dolled up in a top knot and one of her many dresses. She seems naked without it to me.

| Welcome to YT. Queequeg is adorable. You better go pack a lunch, grab some coffee and find something comfy to wear, cause you're gonna be on here for hours at a time.
