She had gotten out of the backyard and instead of going out front and down the street like I thought she had, she'd found a way through the neighbors fence out back to the next neighborhood behind us (we have a double fence behind us, so I knew she hadn't gotten through there, but I didn't count on her going through the neighbor's fence). I had hung signs and looked everywhere here near us... We went down the neighborhood behind us a few times and even asked the guy directly behind us to check his yard because he's got big dogs and we were scared she may had gotten in there.... Turns out she was a few houses over from there. I went back to start next door to that man and start knocking on doors - when I pulled up in front of a house and parked, Pixie jumped in the window going nuts like she was yelling "MOMMIE! I'm right here! Come get me!" I'm very, very glad that someone did take her in, however they had no intentions of returning her - they'd changed her collar and everything... not to mention they didn't call on any of the 57 lost dog ads I had hanging everywhere. Had I not seen her in the window, I doubt they would have admitted to having had her to begin with. I'm praying that this is the situation with Cubbie. I know Cubbie couldn't have made it on his own this long in that weather... but I also know that "no body" is a very good sign. As long as he hasn't turned up dead, there's still hope that SOMEONE has him. And maybe that person doesn't intend to return him, but is taking very good care of him in hopes of keeping him. And maybe he can still be found and safely brought home like Pixie was. It will take lots of prayers to accidentally find him like I did Pixie.... but miracles happen.

| ![]() I agree. I'm glad everyone likes yorkies, but it's really sad that people will go to any extent to get one... including taking off the collar & ID from one that wonders into their yard... knowing that someone loves her and is looking for her. I later found out that those people who have Pixie have 9 dogs. Unfixed... I don't know how many are males and how many are females, but the dogs that I saw were a lab mix, a possible minpin (mix?), another big dog (probably a mutt) etc - no yorkies. It's a really good thing I found her before she went in to heat! A yorkie carrying lab puppies... yikes. And I thought a yorkie carrying pugs was bad. It also makes me wonder how many of those dogs were "stolen" like Pixie was. I'm very good friends with their neighbor now - which is how i know so much about them... but I'd be happy to never see them again in my life.

| ![]() Last spring, my mother was visiting my brother from out of town. She had her ten year old furbaby with her as usual. My brothers family had a cat that attacked Mom's baby while she was there, so Mom was being SO protective and guarding her. Mom had a Dr's appt at a specialist in town and could not take her baby with her. Brother has a totally fenced in small deck on the back of his house. It sits up, like on a second floor. Mom put her baby on the deck to make sure the cat couldn't get to her before she left for the Dr. Somehow, Crystal (furbaby) got off that deck. I'm SURE she was searching for Mom. When Mom got back from the Dr, my SIL was frantic looking for Crystal. She said she was "there one minute and gone the next" They called and rode and called and rode around the neighborhood, my mother in hysterics and crying. They made signs and put up, asking neighbors about seeing her, etc. They had just finished talking to a neighbor down the block and were headed up the sidewalk, when they passed a car sitting on the side of the road. Mom looked in the car and there was a little girl in the back seat with Crystal in her lap! The window on the car was down and Mom RAN to the car reached inside and yanked Crystal off the poor little girls lap! I'm sure the little girl was scared to death of this hysterical woman reaching in the car, but Mom was SO happy to have found her baby. It seems the little girl had found Crystal as she was getting off the school bus and took her home. The little girls mother recognised that Crystal was well groomed, had on a collar and HAD to belong to someone. So, she had taken the little girl and Crystal through the neighborhood asking about anyone losing a dog. It was a very happy ending. Mom still visits my brother, but overnight visits are spent at pet friendly motels ![]() I hope you find your baby. I can't imagine anyone seeing him and not taking him in. Hopefully, it's just a matter of time until you and the finder hook up. |

| ![]() Another day without Cubbie. Nancy said their daughter, who has ulcers and IBS is staying in bed and not eating. She feels guilty because Cubbie got out while trying to follow her. The door evidently didn't shut all the way and out he went without her noticing. Now she is making herself even sicker with grief. She has given up. She got a call from animal control telling her that they had found a small dead black and brown dog and that she could go in and see it. The poor thing drove over there and luckily it wasn't Cubbie, but she is convinced that this dog had frozen to death and that is what has happened to Cubbie. Well, of course we all fear that but it does seem like if he was spotted three times in one day he would be spotted again doesn't it? I truly feel like he is in someones house and Cubbie will be warm and safe if not with his family. It is not knowing that is so hard to deal with. Poor Nancy has to go to work each day and without saying too much, I can tell you that she deals with helping people on a one to one basis and is one of the ncest most caring people I know. I can only imagine how hard it must be for her to keep her own emotions in check while doing her job. PLEASE everyone keep praying for Cubbies safe return. And pray for the family - that they will be able to deal with whatever happens. We apprecitate your prayers so very much. Thank you. Lou |

| ![]() I feel certain Cubbie is not out on the streets. This breed is to well known for anyone to pass up catching one and calling it their own. I do hope that whoever has him will have a heart and return him to his owners. My heart breaks for the daughter. To think someone has him in their home safe and warm is better to think otherwise. | ![]() OM, I was hoping for good news. I'll continue to hope that Cubbie makes his way home, I can't imagine the heartbreak of losing a pet. I agree with many of those here, that we can only hope he is safe in someone's home.
