| I so feel you! I'm also staying at home right now while my fiancee works about an hour away. I'm only 23 and plan on working or becoming a stay at home mom one day, but for now there are no opportunities in my area that pay well, so I take care of the 3 furbabies, the house, and other things. My fiancee hates to help w/the dogs on the weekends. He'll play w/them and such but not bath them, groom them, or take them out more than once a day. I feel your frustration. |

| Donating YT 30K Club Member | My husband and dtr will watch them on their days off but I do all of the feeding, cleaning and caring for them. SInce I no longer work, except to care for my elderly parents and they are my dogs I don't mind. I definately get a break when they are home as they will watch them especially now that I have Pixie.

| I clean, cook, buy grocery, laundry and I do everything for Siu Pao, grooming and all. Hubby is in charge of holding him when I cut his nails or clean his ears and that is about it but I am happy to do it. I only have one furkid and no skinkid so I feel its manageable so I give hubby a lot of space to rest because his job is high stress job.

| My husband is AWSOME about helping with the dogs. He's the first one home so he feeds them during the week and I do weekends. He is semi-retired so he's home more during the week so he takes them to the vet more often too. He even cleans their little butts when they get stuff stuck in their little fur behinds!! The only thing he won't do is give them their baths. That is strictly my job. But I don't mind at all. He helps me so much with things around the house too that I never complain that he's not doing enough of anything.

| Awwww....I came back to read the updates on this post & now I feel bad like I was bashing my family for not helping more ![]() I should have added that I do like keeping busy. It actually does make me happy to take care of my house & family.....and my guy does thank me for all I do. And I probably should give credit where credit is due.....he does pay almost all the bills ![]() And quite honestly, I'm so protective of my Snickers that I don't think I would let anyone else do the baths.....I'd just end up hovering over them making sure they don't get soap in his eyes even though they'd probably do a great job. |

| Well scent I became preg.. I cant really go up and down the stairs from are APT ( we are on the top floor) like I use too. So my hubby takes the girls out in the morning before he goes to work and at night before we go to bed. I do it while he is gone, thou.. and if they make a mess (scent I cant handle really any smells, with out getting sick) He will clean it. But other then that.. I do everything else with the girls and clean, cook ECT ECT. Normal house wife stuff. |

| I'm not married, but I live with my BF. I thought he was going to be great at helping since he was really excited before we got him. Now he really doesnt do anything. Begin Rant: I work 24-27 days a month usually 9-13 hours a day. He works only 5 days a week 5 hours a day....he just started the job. I pay for all of our bills and take care of everything. He does help clean sometimes but i usually have to ask him. Same with Buddah. I have to ask hin to do anything but play with him. But I guess that is something. I just feel like he doesnt think about him. I am so concerned with his well being all the time....does he have food? is he happy? has he had enough play time? does he need brushed? boogies in the eye? He doesnt think about things like that like i do. ![]() END RANT. I guess all i can say is he is my baby. I bought him and if we were to break up I would keep him. So I cant expect too much. Besides I kind of like that Buddah likes me more than him |

| I am lucky in that my husband does help, in the house and with the animals, we have a toy poodle, pug, lab, cat, marine aquarium, and we are waiting for our baby to get old enough to leave birth mom. He helps by doing laundry, giving animal baths, brushing, cleaning cat box, dishes, vaccuming, changing sea water........... the list is endless, yes he is retiredand disabled, and i work, but he could be one who doesn't help, its a good thing he does, as it's not a requirement but a labor of love. I am so lucky, just thought I'd toot a horn for my hubby!
