| What to do! When we got Max, he came with eukanuba sm bites. Wouldn't eat them. He is worse than the girls, maybe. We have tried a few samples & he doesn't like any of them. He does love baked chicken. I bake it in water, & take the skin off. I know he can't just live on that & nutrical. What kind of rice? He doesn't like yogurt, & will eat a little cottage cheese. He about tackled Piper for a piece of american cheese. I just don't think he eats enough, or it's not ballanced either. What to do! I could use some help.

| i agree with the soft food... to keep layla from having soft poops... i take some all bran cereal and break it up in the soft food... it is her breakfast and she LOVES it!! we use minute rice... you can also try egg... scrambled... carrots.. apples.. layla LOVES apples... cheerios.. great fibre in them! i know the gravey that you can buy is not good for them.. but it might be a way to get him to eat his hard food... |

| Good ideas, I'll pick up some soft food tomorrow. Any reccomendations? I'll also try some scrambled egg for breakfast. I thought apples would make his stool soft. I'm just so worried he's so tiny. I also have minute rice. When their babies I worry so.

| I agree with giving canned. At least it's balanced nutrition. You can worry about his teeth later, and as long as he's chewing on something (bully stick, etc.) then I don't see why not My girls both get canned twice a day, with their Missing Link mixed in, and they have kibble down all the time that they pick at. They must be eating it cuz it's dwindling down They get yogurt with their food at night. Thier poopies are nice and firm Plus they get bullies and hooves for their teeth, and I brush them as well. We alternate between Merrick Puppy Plate and Wellness Puppy. Their kibble is a mix of Blue Buffalo lamb & rice, Castor & Pollux Puppy Super Mix, and Wellness puppy super 5 mix. They seem to like having different bits to pick out of there, and their tummies never get upset because they're used to eating a variety of foods. You can try the VitaGravy, it's one of the better ones nutritionally.

| I had a horrible problem with maggie not wanting to eat. she was sooo finniky. I read about Royal Canin and decided to give it a shot. and she loves it. it's kinda pricey but as much as we spend on these babies anyway, what's the difference LOL. I agree...try the canned food (the more it smells, the better) but slowly wean him off of it...you dont want him having it for a long time. I guess just try different foods until you find something he likes. some of the dog foods guarantee it...they will actually give you money back if your dog won't eat it. good luck!!!! I know how frustrating it is. hubby suggested getting her a crystal bowl to eat out of while we're at it maybe that is what he needs LOL btw....he's a doll!

Peeka Boo I See You! Donating Member | Aww Deb what a little stinker he is lol. Daisy didn't want to eat the food she came with either but Peeka is on the Royal Canine and Daisy eats it like it's her last meal everytime!! I kid you not she is at the food bowl for 5 minutes lol. I hope he finds something he likes. Also my vet told me that soft food isn't the best to always feed because it doesn't help their teeth so if you do soft food make sure he gets some hard kibble in there to. I get a 3 lb bag of Royal Canine for $8.00 it lasts me forever and you can buy a 20 lb(i think) for $27.00 try a small bag of the puppy 33 formula and see if he likes that. I just love his little face sooooo cute!
