| I have a question Hi everyone, I have a question, and hopefully some of you can help. I have a 8 year old Female Yorkie. She is very sweet, never growls or bites. My question is that I am getting a new puppy next month and was wondering if anyone thinks my Yorkie will get jelous of the new puppy. I am telling myself now to make sure I spen the same amount of attention on both, but I just wanted to see if any of you have had a problem with jeoulsy. Thanks! |

| I got Tucker when Biddy was about a year old. I was terrified that they wouldn't get along or that Biddy would be jealous. We made sure to give her lots of attention & to give it to her 1st (we fed her 1st, gave her a treat 1st, etc). She was never jealous - however they did not get along great a first. Biddy would get aggravated by him and Tucker was constantly chasing her around. We've had him for about 2 months now & things are much better!! It might not e great at first, but don't be discouraged - they'll come around...

| sometimes they do and sometimes they don't sometimes they get along and sometimes they don't. i have a 7 year old yorkie that wants to fight with my 2 year old . i really have to watch them when they are together, then there's my 14 wk old pup, she get along with her sometimes then she growls at her at other times. and she could care less about the 1 old male. but the 2 year old,the 12 wk old and the 1 old male all get along great together. it's just something you won't know until they live together ..lol...good luck to you |

| It has been a month since I added a puppy and ruined my Rios life LOL. He has not come around yet, he is 3 and very spoiled so it may take some time. I did take him to my vet who suggested a pheremone thing called Dap. It is supposed to give them a feeling of well being but we can't smell it. It comes in a spray or room atomiser thing. I will be giving it a try soon. My baby is VERY depressed and I am hoping this will work, he has never, as much as he hates the new puppy, tried to bite her or fight with her tho. For him it is all about pretending she doesn't exist. Good Luck, I am sure things will be fine for you, just expect to give it time. Rio is just a brat. |

| Chelsey is 5,5 months and we gave her a little sister 2 weeks ago, the first week she hated it and acted like a real brat, it made me feel very sad and thought she would never adapt, in the short time we have Chelsey she is very very spoiled by everyone, now i can glady tell u that she adores her little sister, they cuddle up and sleep together so dont get discouraged in the beginning, they sort themselves out just give them time Include ur 8 year old in EVERYTHING u do with the baby or buy for her Good luck!

| I got another yorkie puppy when my Zoey was 1 year old. She would not go in the same room with the puppy for about a week. She gradually began investigating her and now (1 year later) they get along great. I would always have two dogs now. Give it about two to three weeks and hopefully it will all work out. |
