| I need a good puppy food... For Reghan. We are bringing her home on friday, she will be 8 weeks. Roxi eats innova EVO, but I am afraid it is too much for a puppy. I plan on switching her to EVO later, but what can I do for now? She is eatting beneful at the breeders, but I want to switch. |

| Chicken Soup and Nutro were two good quality foods I was able to find locally. Mine eat Royal Canin though. It is not rated as good as those but they love it and will eat it and they are picky eaters

| I feed Nutro. Just make sure you make the switch gradually. Add a bit more of the new food into the old daily so that it won't cause tummy upset. Minimum 26% protein and 10% fat.

| Chachi, Kodak eats Royal Canin now for about a year and he loves it. He wouldn't eat the Eukanuba the breeder sent with him. I was advised to switch him to Proplan and he got constipated so we have stayed with Royal Canin. I am picking up my puppy on Friday and this may sound stupid, but is Chicken soup & Nutro the brand name of the food or just use chicken soup mixed with Nutro? I eventually want them both to possible eat the same food.

| I feed the puppies Nutro Ultra Puppy Food. They scarf that stuff down like it's forbidden food AND they are incredibly healthy happy and active! |

| I have also just started on the Nutro Ultra, but I've noticed that Abbie has been pooping alot. She doesn't eat alot of anything, unlike Reesie who eats everything. I don't understand where the poop is coming from. Have you noticed alot of pooping? |

| Cricket still goes 3 times a day and she's almost 7 monthes old. Remi is only 10 days older and she goes twice. It has to do with the dogs internal clock I guess. Sometimes when you first change food they go more often as well. A friend of mine has noticed this with her 4 month old pup as well.

I had to take her to the emergency room over a rawhide chewy, bought the best but it got stuck in her wind pipe. NEVER AGAIN will she get one. Good luck and enjoy that baby.

| Thanks guys! I, too, am planning on both girls eatting the same food (eventually) but I think EVO is probably too harsh for a puppy. Roxie wouldn't eat anything when she was a pup so we switched to EVO (at about 6 months) and she gobbled it up. She likes the smaller kibbles too and EVO is super small. I am gonna email some companies for samples. Thanks again! |
