| New here. Hello Hi, Just ran across this site and love it. I've had 2 Yorkie's in my life. I got Mindy in 1989 when she was 8 weeks old. She died 2003. She was the 1st dog I ever had. I was single the whole time she was with me and she was like my daughter. Never knew the loss of a dog could be so hard. I got Dolly 2 months later and she is a great Yorkie. I got married a year and a half ago and by wife brought a male Toy Poodle into the family. These two dogs are perfect together. They just hit it off right away. They just make us laugh all the time. Well anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to joining the discussions here. I attached a photo of our two babies. |

| They are so cute!!! I'm not a huge poodle fan, but that one is ADORABLE! Welcome! We're an awful "girly" forum, but we do have a few guys running around here! My husband is absolutely BESOTTED with our little girls too. I know just what you mean about how they make you laugh everyday. We couldn't possibly enjoy them any more! Keep posting, glad you're here!

| Welcome. Yes, I know how painful it is to lose your fur-kid. So glad you gave another lucky kid a great home. What an adorable family you have and am so glad they both have each other to play and share with. |

| Thanks for the welcome everyone. Yes I kinda noticed mostly women here, but I guess you don't have to be female to love Yorkies. I get asked a lot about why a man like me has a Yorkie. It did help attract the ladies back when I was single though I got hooked on Yorkies back in the 80's with a girlfriend I had back then. She had a Yorkie and I fell in love with the little guy. When we broke up I got my own. I bought Mindy when she was 2 weeks old and took her home at 8 weeks. I had Mindy for almost 15 years. It's been over 3 years since she died and I still get choked up when I think about her or look at old pictures. I'll attach a pic of Mindy and another of me and my wife's babies (Dolly and Spunky), and one of Dolly at her first vet visit. |
