| Hates Ex Pen Tucker just seems to hate his ex pen. He paces back and forth and if not dealt with pretty quick, he works himself into a frenzy. The ex pen is in the family room so it is not loneliness. The behavior is relatively new - the last few weeks. The weird thing is he has no issues in his playpen (human baby type). I'd really like him to spend time in his big ex pen so he has more room to play. I have even tried leaving out some of the ex pen panels to duplicate the size of his play pen in case it was the smaller size he preferred, but no go. He has access to beds, food, toys, water, pee pad, etc. in both places. I just don't get it... His potty training is not far enough along that he can have freedom in the family room as it is carpeted (I put a linoleum remnant under his ex pen). How can I get him to enjoy his time in his ex pen? Any ideas? Julie and Tucker |

| I'm sorry, I wont be of much help, but mine hates his ex-pen also. Even though he's only 10 feet from us, he wants to be out and playing with us.

Do you tough it out and put him in his ex pen? Let me know if you come across a solution. Tucker is 5 months old if that matters. Julie and Tucker | |

| Yes put something that would entertain him and then play with him so he associates the place with a positive association... I hear the everlasting treat ball is great, I am going to give it a try too..

| I put bull stick and everlasting ball but she still crys and jump up and down. She hates staying anywhere that is confined. I am trying to make her get used to staying in the playpen each day for few minutes at a time through out the day but it is a long way to go....... |
