| cleaning those darn eye boogers!! I am having the worst time trying to get my yorkie calm enough to clean out her eye boogers. Trying to use a comb and she seems terrified of the comb. Any ideas out there that seem to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

| Tyson hates it but I just take my fingers and pull them right out and if that doesnt work I take a warm cloth and wipe from the inside out the warm water softens them up and they come out, it is a fight but I try and give him a toy of something. Same thing with getting the old man hair out of his ears...........got to be done, I always tell Tyson I dont want the Yorkie social worker people to come and take him because he doesnt let me clean him............ And then he always get a treat and big hugs wher we are done...........CHRISTINE |

| Hello, I found some special Qtips at the petstore, just for cleaning the eyes. They have the cleaning liquid in them and you just snap the tip. They are really great and soften the junk so you can just wipe it off with your fingers. I can't find the darn box right now so I will get the name to you later! Sorry. I paid about 9 bucks for a small travel size qtip container. But one should work for both eyes. I really like them!! I'll get back to you with the name. Raquel

| I use puppy wipes- theyre at the petstore & really gentle (like baby wipes)- to clean ralfie around his mouth and his eyes. It can take care of the eye boogies: if they're really bad, I also use my fingers to get them out. |

| I want to get those Q-tips. I never heard of anything else that worked, and puppy wipes don't work on Max. Judy |

| I just hold Cali on my lap where she can't get up (since she's so small) and use a flea comb. She struggles at first, but after a while it looks like she realizes that if she would just let me do it, it'll be over sooner. Good luck.

| I soften them with a wet wash cloth and then comb them out. I believe a wet cotton ball would work well too |

| I also have the wipes for Toto, but never use them anymore. I take a cup of warm water and a couple of regular Q-Tips and just wet them really good and after a couple of minutes they will come right off with a dry Q-Tip. Toto doesn't mind at all and will sit on my lap and hold her little face up for me to clean it! She really acts like it bothers her to get those on her eyes as well as food on her face!

| I suggest start with when he is sleeping so he is not all active to try to wiggle away when you are doing it? My Siu Pao will let me do it when he is having his morning nap. Otherwise, I have to let him bite one of my fingers while I am doing it. Its bad I know but he is like that. I usually just use warm water on a piece of facial cotton. It works well. Sometimes I need a flea comb, sometimes I don't. Only use the flea comb whent he boogers are all soft and easy to comb out otherwise if you hurt them once, they will give you more trouble the next time you want to clean their eye boogers.

| I can use a flea comb on Lucy. Abbie's moustache tends to get a bit dry and crispy so the flea comb boths her then so I use a cotton ball soaked in warm water and wet her first, give it a few seconds and then I'm able to wipe it all out with the flea comb. Then the treats! Hope this helps!

| I use a little flea comb also...it works well but he does fight me occassionally. That is when daddy comes in to help! I am tired of always being the bad guy anyways..always bathing, brushing (torture to my baby) and daddy just brings in the treats and is his cuddle buddy...so unfair!! LOL |

| GiGi fights ANYTHING that comes near her face...... it is really unpleasant to have to fight her over eye boogers, face washing and top knotting! But, fight we do, and I ALWAYS win, then she gets lots of love and treats! |
