| Someone on this site mentioned she uses a warm cloth every morning and after awhile her yorkie just looked forward to it so I tried it. Sure enough, it works. Most dogs, when they smell, it is around the face, so I use the warm cloth to wipe both the eye yuk and the odor, works like a charm. |

| I always get their face wet with a cloth when I begin to bath them. And by the time I finish bathing their bodies, the eye boogies are soft enough to just comb out. What I'm having a problem with is getting rid of the tear stains on Sammie's very blonde face! |

| I find it easier to clean the eyes in the morning, when it's still soft. I wet a paper towel and gently pull it out between my thumb and forefinger. They have both gotten used to this morning routine and stay still while I do it. I think they feel better having clean eyes.

| HA! I found those darn qtips! They are called: Veterinarian's Best Pet Swabs Liquid - Filled Swabs, Around the eye cleaner 1-800-866-PETS but they also have around the eye whitener or something of such. A pack of 24 was about 8 bucks and they do work. Rub with the liquid side, clean with the dry side. Very easy. Safe for cats and dogs! Good luck, hope this helps!

| I use a warm wash cloth or Cotton ball if they are bad. After I wipe the fur, and i make sure i really work the water through the sides if his nose...Then I comb it out... He hated this at first but if you do it every day, stay calm and matter of fact, and I hold chewy by the back of his neck, they get the hang of it. After a while they realise you are not going to hurt them and they just stay still and let you do it. it took months to build the trust but just keep at it. He is worse with is teeth being brushed...But even that is getting better!
