That is how I got Lucy. I just went to our local vet and asked what is a good small dog. They told me that one of their customers just had a litter of yorkies. She lived within two miles of me. We ended up getting our pick of the litter It was just meant to be.

Also, I would just like to prepare you that the cost of the puppy is the tip of the iceberg. Vet visits and immunizations can be costly! Just be prepared for that.

Forgot to add neutering/spaying, grooming, possiblity of teeth removal.

It really does add up. Gosh, now that I think about it, I would be very rich if I hadnt ever gotten these dogs ; but they are sooo worth it!

I understand how scammers do it now...i had this samethings happend to me..this was before i got Wyatt...i didnt know anything about buying a puppy online...it was terrible...the man told me the puppy was $900 including shipping so i was hyped up to get her...he said to send him $400 thru money gram...so i did just that..but silly me i sent it without thinking. He didnt call me for 2 days and when he did he said he was sorry it took so long to get back to me and she was on her way...he told me to go to the airport and told me what flight...so i did and i was up there for 8 hours...and guess what...NO PUPPY yes i was upset...so i was calling him like crazy...and no answer..then i call the police and they said to wait till the next day he might call...so i did and he did but he said that he couldnt send her that day cause of some bullcrap but he would send her the next day...guess what do u think he sent her??? NO I was so mad cause i sent him the money and didnt get my puppy...thank god i had his info i thought so i call the police back and they said there was no address or name of that persson there...i was so upset that i cried I got jipped out of $400 and a beautiful baby girl...so i learned my lesson with that one...oh by the way the mans naw was Jones Tanifon or Tanifton and he lives in Florida...hes going to get his one day...i hope!

Here's my thing...you should buy from someone local, or at least a private breeder that is not selling mass amounts of dogs online, supposedly. you want to be able to develope some sort of personal relationship with your pups breeder. I really feel that is a very important thing...especially for first time yorkie owners. I have owned my share of dogs in the past but this is a whole different breed I have worn my breeder out!! I can't imagine not having her phone number and address incase i need something. and it is such a good feeling knowing that she wants to have that relationship with me...so she knows that maggie is in a good home and happy and healthy.

this is just my opinion, but I think even if you have to pay a little more,...it is worth it. i feel that you get what you pay for!
