| Pixie, Paris..Puppy Cuts! Can you believe..... I'm actually thinking about putting Pixie and Paris in puppy cuts?? Am I crazy guys??? These girls are so rough and tumble... they bite and chew on eachothers coats and cause so much damage!!!! Pixie has so much breakage on mer face cause Paris bites down on her hair and pulls her around the house by it!!! I'm NOT kidding! And it does not stop there... They are crazy!!! They grab mouth fulls and play tug of war with their coats!!! then they roll on the wet grass and tug some more! its much easier to get hold of wet clumps of hair!!! they chomp off so much when the really get going! Its insane!!! I'm at a loss! They both have floor touching coats! It just kills me! But I want them to be dogs! I want them to enjoy themselves and have fun playing! They are both still pups, 16 and 14 months old! I can't and don't want to stop them from playing! I really am leaning towards puppy cuts! What do you all think?????

| It is up to you, but I say NO! Why??? Because Mojo use to have a beautiful (um, er, handsome) long coat and we did the puppy coat - whew! It has been a "B" getting it to look good growing back out! I have regretted that puppy cut and have had a time getting him to look good while growing it out. IN FACT: I just posted pictures of him just today - I think it is finally starting to look good! Letting it grow back out, it looks big and make him look bulky and it sticks out, etc. Aurgh! BBBBUUUUUTTTTT.......it is totally up to you! You do what you need to. I liked the puppy cut because Mojo is very outdoorsy (as we are), but he always did fine w/ longer hair too.

| I have been thinking we may have to do the same. My two play fight all day long. They are very rough. I shampoo them, get them all dry and pretty and there they go again. We kid around and say, "And they're off!" like at the horse races. Puppy cuts are cute too.

| There are so many pups with cute, short hair cuts... I say go for it. If you don't like it, that's all right. It'll grow back, might take a while, but it'll grow... and least then you'll know what they look like with short hair! |

| I am thinking of cuttiing Jewels down too. I think I am going to leave the face long and cut the body though. I put her in clothes often and she matts. You dont even see her long hair with the clothes on anyway. Good luck with whatever you decide to do

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Well, I gotta admit, I LOVE the puppy cuts! My little guy has one (well, his face is anyway ) but I do still keep his body hair in a medium length (not "short" - but not long either) That way he still has a pretty coat, but it isn't SO LONG that it gets in his way. I'm sure you've seen pictures of his face a MILLION times so I won't even bother posting any of those LOL - but here are some pictures of his body (BUT NEKKED!) P.S. - I know it may LOOK really long in the pictures - but it's honestly not. It doesn't even come CLOSE to touching the ground!!

| Puppy cuts are adorable, and less maintenance. Maybe by giving them both hair cuts they will find other ways to play fight and you can train them out of hair pulling to eventually grow it long again? |

| Both of mine had long coats , My female longer then my male. I went thru the same thing for a year lol. Then My hubby said I wish you would cut their hair. Minnie has had a topknot for 2 years, her little head must be so sore, So then I decided to do it. I cut and shaved. I ended up with 2 very happy little baby's. I know they feel so much better you can just tell. I do miss their hair, but they are still so cute and if it makes them happy then it makes me happy. |

| That's the reason my girls are in puppy cuts (actually modified Schnauzer cuts, really) and will stay that way. They love to roll in the dirt and roughhouse, and bite each other up, and it would suck to have to not let them be dogs. Plus I'm too lazy to brush them both every stinkin' night

| I love puppy cuts. It's just like cutting your own hair. I had long hair, cut it when my first was born and cried for a week. Now a days though, I like my hair shorter then longer. Way I look at it, is that it will always grow back and you'll know never to cut it short again, but you won't know it unless you try it. You just might love them in puppy cuts. Your girls may like to run and tumble but they are girlie girls so yeah, you're right, we are just as wishy washy as you. LOL I'd probably do it at least once to see how it would look.
