That is pathetic. Made me sick to my stomache to think there are puppies and dogs out there that live like this. I cant believe someone would be so evil as to let this happen and still be able to sleep at night. I am outraged. Where was this puppymill, do you know? Makes me want to do everything in my power to get thim all closed down one at a time. We all need to contact Oprah and see if she can help us or anyone we can think of.

Why dont you post that link and start a thread about it for the people that
havent stopped in to check this thread. The more people that see this will only enlighten others to not buy from puppymills, brokers, petshops and the like.

I watched it last night and I thought it was an ok report but I do have a couple of questions (Yes I know its hard to believe)
That lady from the ASPCA how could she tell what the dog was covered in by the video?? I couldn't I mean really they were standing by a pond with mud around it. Ok yes they said it was a breeder dog but still. Was it smell O Vision or was she going on what IE said.
Also about the dog being scared when they picked it up! DUH. I was doing some work out at the airport the other day and I saw two kennels with full grown dogs on the conveyor belts scared to death. I can imagine that a poor puppy would feel petrified not ever seeing all that before.
Just my thoughts.

Dobie, I know you said you don't trust the news, and you trust lawyers even less... but are you sure you aren't a lawyer??? You're VERY questioning and untrusting about everything, lol.

That's a good idea. Thank you. I think I will do that this afternoon. I have also decided that I will never purchase any Eukanuba or other Iams product either after seeing the expose' video at youtube. Watching it nearly killed me.

It's not a trust issue its just a question. How could you tell what that was on the dog? I mean come on it could have been mud for all we know. You can't see that thru the tube. I know that was what I call "Media Hype" to add effect to the story.

Really? what is that all about. can you post that link or show me how to find all of this stuff. I have never even heard of youtube until now.

I had NO idea who or WHAT they were 2-1/2 years ago - I found them in a search and wrote them asking questions - they emailed me pictures of an adorable little yorkie for sale and I jumped in the car to go see.

What I saw when I got there was NOT the puppy I was interested in. I won't get into details :( :( :( but I knew the minute I stepped foot in that place I would never buy a puppy there.

At the time I had no idea they sell so many breeds. I THOUGHT I was going to a small breeder/kennel who only sold Yorkies - come to find out they sell approx TEN Breeds - To me this is very misleading ......Each breed is listed in seperate Websites but had I seen a site with ALL their breeds listed, I would have never made that trip.

Dobie, if it looks like sh** and smell like sh**then it's probably sh**. I agree that any dog you ship is going to be scared when they come out of the crate though. That is a no brainer there. Heck stick me down there and lock me in a cage and I will probably be scared too. I did ship one puppy so far and I cried for hours thinking about how scared it was probably going to be. I dont think that is something I may continue to do. They say it is safe and the temp is controlled but who knows.

Don't take it to heart that mean ole V she will get ya every time! We are working on her reading skills and she is coming along pretty good so far. But as you can see we still have a few hick ups every once in a while.

Yes, if it looks like sh** and smell like sh**then it's probably sh**. But I don't have Smell O Vision so I can't say for sure. I don't think someone would hold and pet and kiss on a dog covered in poop.
I think the puppies would be fine flying and such but the people getting them need to know that it is going to be hard on the animal and it will affect them for a few hours/days. The puppy looked really cute at the end and seemed fine. I just love Westies.
