My TeaPot, Jazzie, hovers around the 9.5 to 10 pound range. When rude people say things like "That's a Yorkie???" or "She's HUGE for a Yorkie" I tell them there is more to love with a full figured gal!

Like many of your TeaPots, Jazzie is not Chubby, she's all muscle! She just a Jumbo Shrimp!

Baby gets that too, and next time I'm gonna say, "You're big for a human!" Think that would be too mean?

Hey guys. As I said on another thread you all need to move out to NZ!!

95% of people don't know what a yorkie "should" look like. Everyone just says "CUTE!" when they see my two.

Every body asks if 6.5lb Dixie is a puppy! I have to explain to most people that Dixie is in fact nearly the breed maximum size-wise and that Dougal's just my little freak of nature at 13.5lbs.

Only one random stranger has ever come up to me and said "that's the biggest yorkie I've ever seen" of Dougal. But then they said that he has a beautiful "toy doll" yorkie face. So that's ok

I didn't have to hurt them.

It seems like if your dog weighs over 3lbs people act like its huge & a horrible thing even if it is still in the standard. I hope you do come up w/some come backs that get people to shut up, use to be that we were judged by the house we lived in, the car we drive- now the size of the dog on our leash what next

I often do just tell people that say something mean to me " Oh yeah well I hate you & your ugly so bye bye" they dont normally have anything to say to that-I think its to much Will & Grace-I love that show.

Listen ,all you young wipersnapers.........Iam 14 and well a lady doesn't like to give everything away like my exact weight but lets just say 20lbs. My vet says I'm big boned , I go for long walks everyday and have a parttime job keeping my neice and nephew in tow....Alfie and Lottie ...you probably know them their little bitsy yorkies...but they are are a lot of work for me esp Lottie she's a bit on the cheeky side....and you should see how much she eats!!!But barely puts on an ounce!!!
So I think some of you are just making it in to the teapot club so keep up the good work ....and I'm watching you!!!

Once when a man I had just met made a point of making repeated comparisons between his nearly perfect (to standard yorkie) and my sadly "unstandard" yorkie (Ginger), I was very tempted to tell him the standard for a human male is George Clooney and he doesn't even come close! (Of course, I just got out of there as quick as I could without saying anything)
