Please consider our application for Mya, who now tips the scales at 9.3 pounds!!! At 5 months old, I expect her to be bigger than her brother, which is likely good as Oliver is MEAN and my little girl needs to have some weight to fight back, lol.

Took Zipp to the vet today for some kidney blood work and when he steped on the scale, 10.2 lbs! He's gained almost 3 lbs since I adopted him the end of Feb '10.

Beau was 7.4 lbs at 6 months old....I bet he qualifies at some point

Lil Bit wishes to become a member of this very special, honoured society.

She is around 8lbs (probably more, my husband just said she is 10lbs!), but she is definitely over the 7lb mark.

This is her with Beamer - Lil Bit is kept shaved down (boot camp style my husband says)

I would like to ask.. What is the teapot club? I would assume this means yorkies weighing over 7 lbs? If so I think that is so very sweet. My very first and second yorkies were 10 lbs and I just loved them. I found that a 10 pounder was a better playmate for my daughter and just over all very healthy in so many ways compared to my Chipper. He is healthy but can get hurt very easy. he jummped off my bed the other week, rather than useing the steps I have for him and off to the vet we go.. He was sore for over 2 weeks but nothing broken thank goodness. I have had a few things happen like that with the tinies. You just can't bet thoughs heafty 8-10 lb babies.. Can I be a member I have a female Ladybug she is 8 lbs? She loves to play with her toys and play in the yard and sleep on my pillow, She talks to you too, She can sit/ lay and roll over, can she join? She looks like the tea pot short to the ground but stout.. I hope you will except her application.. Thanks

My apologies for the delay in examining the new applications for membership into the exalted Teapot Club. I was attending the International Secret Society of Teapot Yorkie Lovers annual convention and had no access to the Internet. We close ourselves off to the world and live like Buddhist monks for a week while discussing the challenges of being a Teapot Yorkie Lover in a society that has come to worship teacups.

I was surprised to see that none of the other members had the TIME to examine your applications while I was gone. They probably think they're SPECIAL for being accepted to such an exclusive club. I will forward that development to the Secret Society and see if there's a way to toss the deadbeats out of the club for nonparticipation!

Because of Beau's proximity to 7 pounds, he can only be accepted on a conditional basis for now. He's one bowel movement from falling below the magic number. If he maintains over the next couple months or gains, he will be welcomed as a full-fledged member of the Teapot Club.

While we normally require more precise measurements than an 8-10 pound range, the attached picture was so cute that we won't bust your chops. Lil Bit (and them some ) is in! Welcome!

Yes, yes, Ladybug is in (providing she's a Yorkie and not an actual ladybug). Anyone who appreciates a teapot is a welcome addition to the club!

Lady bug says many thanks we are so very glad to be a part of a wonderful club.. lol love your post. We do hope to make many friends. Do we have link to go to or do we just stay on this thread? This thread is fine with us as we are happy just to be who we are.. Truth be known I am alittle overweight myself for my height. So I think she and I are a perfect match.. Thanks again. By the way my Lady was bitten by a bee the other day her hole face swelled up.. off to the vet he gave her a shot and said she would be fine.. my goodness that girl, Guess I will just have to go in the yard with her at all times..lol Ladybug aka Beekiller Blessings to all teapot babies gotta love um
