1 Attachment(s) I am glad to announce my new puppy has turned 6 months old and is ready to apply to the teapot club. Her name is Molli and she is great at shreading papers and will play with anything or anyone. She just came back from her pre-spay vet visit and is tipping the scales at 7.4 pounds! Hope you will accept her so she can join with her brother who is already a member. Thank you! :animal36 |
She's just beautiful! |

Welcome to the club! |
Welcome to the Teapot club Molli |
Yay! I'm sure the support of her teapot brethren will help her heal faster and portlier :D |
Where we get spayed and neutered they put a little green tattoo on our tummies so it is easy to prove our status. Of course it is easy for the boys anyway! :D |
Hello I was wondering do anyone else get into constant arguments about your Teapot being a mix because of his size? I constantly have to tell people that he is a pure breed and that he is just not within the Yorkie Standards and that he is just fine. |
Yes but Elvis is also a Parti (out of standard with white markings) |
:welcome4: Mollie !!! Cgurl, Ymommy, I just looked, and I don't see a Social Group for Parti's. I'd start it myself, but neither of mine are. You two and several others that have posted recently have Parti's...right ! You could call it... The Prestigious Parti's Parlance Place, or The Pretentious Parti Poopers Paradise, or The Perfect Parti Prestidigitator's Pets, or maybe just Yorkie Parti Lovers Group :D |
Major is a Parti too |
People don't understand that the dogs they see in the dog shows are engaged in "conformity trials". When a breed is recognized by a group like the AKC they have a bunch of experts in the breed come up with "the breed standard" which is what they say the ideal dog of that breed looks like. The folks that do breed dogs and show them have a lot of puppies that are rejected by them because their little bodies develop following the instructions of some non-standard gene that makes them tall or larger bodied or with white hair or with under bites, etc. These are the puppies that get wonderful mommies or daddies that love them even though they are a teapot or have an under bite. We have pure blood lines and the paper work to prove it, but as Mama says "genetics is a crap shoot". My baby Wally needs to apply to be a teapot and he has an under bite that Mama says would do a Shih Tzu proud. That boy is a pure Yorkie, just a big one with wonky teeth! ;) |
AKC Misfits is the unofficial Parti club on here...we're members but it's soooooooo not as much fun as the Teapot Club...(I apologize to the reputable Parti breeders) but most of the Parti groups I have found tend to be run by Greeders...it's sad but true in my experience Off that topic back to Teapot someone brought this up on another thread I'll not mention whom as they are a very reputable Standard breeder well know in the ring...they mentioned wanting to see the AKC standard changed and the size increased a bit topping at 10 pounds increasing it to 6-10 pounds as a new standard...just putting it out there in here where it seems safe. I'm thinking I'd definately go for it I love Yorkies in that size range I actually prefer them Elvis' size he's 9 pounds |
NEVER MIND! I did it I created a group! That's Mr. President you need to get a teapot parti rescue now to join! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gro...i-teapots.html |
Ever since Ivan was accepted into the official teapot ranks, I've been singing 'I'm a little teapot' to Ivan and Iris. He may be the teapot, but Iris is the one that's "short and stout". LOL Just had to share. :-) |
