George is very excited and happy to be accepted into the teapot club :):):aimeeyork:animal-pa |
Is the Teapot Club still taking applications? 1 Attachment(s) If so, I'd like to submit an application for Ivan. He's my big boy at 9 pounds. He was two in March. He looks even bigger than he really is because he's got such long legs and a fluffy, cotton coat. He's actually quite trim, just big boned. Here is a picture of Ivan with his 6 pound sister, Iris. He's had a tough week, so I'm sure he'd be thrilled to receive acceptance into such a prestigious club. I hope you will consider our request. |
m2y, YES !, the Club is definitely taking applications ! The more the merrier ! ;) Ivan certainly has my vote, and some serious encouragement for that little cutie Iris, only one pound to go !!! |

I don't think Iris has much of a chance. We worried that she wouldn't even make it to 4 pounds when we first got her. She's really filled out her delicate frame. |

Welcome to the club! |
Discrimination Who should I talk to about the blatant discrimination to the non teapot dogs?? Noah and Allie are ready to call the SPCA, the NCAA, the FBI, the CIA and the MIB!!! Noah will never achieve teapot status. At 3 months, he can barely make the scales go to 1 pound 2 ounces. And Allie is 6 months and barely tips the scales at 3 pounds 2 ounces. This is unfair, and unjust and un-American. And anything else UN goes with. I'd like to speak to a manager or the owner or just someone in general. I won't go away until I feel this has been handled in a proper fashion, or at least until someone bakes me some chocolate chip cookies or drops off a cheesecake. At least then I could be a teapot :) |

Besides, it is WE who are the shunned ones! Your prestigious dog shows do not even RECOGNIZE Yorkies in excess of 7 pounds! We were FORCED by the standard Yorkie community to go underground, and we will not be intimidated by threats from our puny counterparts! So go join a snooty Teacup Club and enter your Westminster dog shows and leave us in peace! P.S. The cheescake is in the mail. No chocolate for Yorkies! |
wait...Wait...WAIT !!! I think we're forgetting that we DO recognize those deprived underpounders !!! This prestigious organization's families are replete with members, who don't come up to acceptable standards on weight !!! We have the "Cheerleader" Group, and are quite willing to enroll one of those skinny little unfortunates in with no hesitation. All you need to do is apply !!! |

Ivan is so excited to be an official Teapot. He is honored to have this title and to be among your ranks. Since this is a Secret Society too, does that mean he's not supposed to brag about this? |

She is very good at helping her brother keep up his physique by assisting in activities such as begging for treats, regular and timely meal reminders for Mommy and Daddy, and persistent walk avoidance (though Ivan's love of walks makes that less than successful and she usually ends up enjoying the walks too). She is very happy for her brother on his recent honor but would really like to participate in this club as well. She really hates to be left out. She would happily accept a supporting role in the Cheerleader Group. Here is another picture of Iris with her big brother, Ivan, to help in your decision. As you can see, she is earnestly helping in the treat begging efforts. Thank you for your consideration of our request. |
susan lynn, Given how delectably cute that little nipper-snapper Sissy is, I recall pushing and shoving at the Voting Booth by the Esteemed Members, to cast a vote in her favor. ;) mamma2yorkies. I'm filling up my SUV, packing my two up, and going to the Poles immediately. I wouldn't want to make that darling little girl Iris wait one second longer than necessary ! Your comprehensive description of the apparent loving and caring sibling relationship she has with Ivan, won my heart over completely. FYI, I have about the same situation as you. My Male Sneakers (2.5yo/12Lbs) a tenured YTTPC Member, was recently joined by his Sister Becca (1yo/6.8Lbs)(from a subsequent litter). I have witnessed a connection between these two, which I don't think any human intervention could match. I resisted offering Becca for a Cheerleader, since their Sire and Dame threw such large pups, and am waiting for her to gain another few tenths, to make the 7.1 Lb requirement for full membership. :xfingers: Which shouldn't take long, she's become a highly skilled beggar for Cheese Treats ! |

We will all be routing for your little Becca. She's so close and still young that we're sure she will get there if she works at it. I'm sure Sneakers can show her how it's done. Ivan and Iris are actually littermates but he's always been bigger than her. She was 2.1 pounds and he was 2.8 pounds when we brought them home at 9 1/2 weeks. Their other littermates were bigger like Ivan. Ivan had a big growth spurt at about 4 months of age (and then a few more after that ;)) while Iris just had a slow and steady gain. I guess she was just meant to be petite flower. |

So, yes, Iris is an official Teapot cheerleader. And judging by the looks of her cute self, I'd say she's in the running for team captain! Congratulations, Iris. But keep it on the down-low. Only true teapot worshipers are invited to be on the team! |
Sassy is happy to have Iris on the Teapot Cheerleading team with her. :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer: |
