When I was a kid, we had an overweight Dachshund who was a couch potato and the melloest dog ever. But she turned into a frog hunter when we went to a lake loaded with them. She spent all day chasing and sometimes catching them on the beach. I was aghast even then.

The Elders, looking for hard facts to back their opinions, reasoned that if she just bit into a nasty frog and vomited twice, it proves she had an empty stomach at weigh-in. A bowel movement couldn't be expected without more food, hence would not drop her below 7 pounds.

Therefore, after this long harangue, we are DELIGHTED to inform you that Cookie is in the club! She is on probation until she reaches 1 year of age, but we are confident we get to keep her. Just tell her to stay away from those icky frogs!
