| sneaky little bella this morning i was sitting on my porch drinking my coffee with my boyfriend and i felt so bad that bella was inside so i thought i would let her come out with us. its on the first story, and there was an opening so i gated it off. i brought a blanket for her and toys and she was playing and all happy. all of a sudden i look and that sneaky little thing had somehow squeezed though the railing. i see her running down the sidewalk and freaked out and yelled STAY. thank God she stopped and i was able to get her. long story short, no more bella on the porch. i am a little worried as to why she would run away???? how do i stop her from doing that?? ahh it was sooo scary, my heart stopped!!

| Ooo! I think they usually run away when they get the chance. It's in their genes to be curious. I wouldn't trust Tink for a second. Even my elderly poodle would occasionally take off just to see something new if I didn't tether him to my leg. Do you own or rent? If you rent can you put some screen up around the railing to keep her in? Just tack it up with staples so you can take it down later. |

| i thought is was probably just bc she is curious, she investigates everything as it is..hehe.....i do rent, but that is a great idea to staple up a screen....thanks a lot....bc i would hate to never have her out there with us.....

| lol, Phew! I'm glad this story ended with her listening to your command and stopping. So many people have said their dog just kept on trucking while they were running and shouting the command. I think it's a good idea to put something around the bottom of your porch so she can't squeeze thru again. Had it been me, I would've looked out after taking a sip & putting the cup down thinking: Now what idiot would just let their dog out by himse....and before I could finish the sentence and saw that is was Kodak, I would've been the bionic women shouting commands, hopping off the patio and running the distance to retrieve him. lol I can only imagine how you felt.

| these little boogers are fast as lightning. Kizzys gotten out of our fence maybe 4 times but she comes back if I grab the treat bag and shake it and call her and ask if she wants a lil bite. once i had to get my golf cart but soon as she heard it crank, she was back before I got turned around. she loves riding in it. I'm happy you got your back so quickly.
