The dog clippers are too much for Abigail. They will cut her tender leather, and the sound scares her. But, I find she actually likes a moustache trimmer! Go figure. It sounds like a bee to me - seems that she'd think a bee was buzzing in her ear. Anyway....I, too, make the 'V' shaving. They look GREAT !! I trim my girls a little under the eyes ...I don't like hair sticking into their pretty little brown peepers....

Yes, we do. Why are we our own worst critics I'm so impressed they let you trim their ears. MIne know what scissors and clippers are, and whenever I put either in my hands they duck their heads and get under the couch.

I used scissors. They are kinda wiggly when I do it but all in all their pretty good about letting me do most anything to them. Good thing too or I would never get them cleaned up. thanks all but I'm scared to try to trim the hair on their nose to keep it from stickin in their eyes, V. I would mess it up worse. Plus if I did, It will take forever to let them grow out and thats what I'm wanting to do. Maybe as it gets longer it will lay down smoother.

You have two beautiful little models there and their ears look perfect. Roxy is so wiggley we just trim the hair a little shorter on her ears so she has angel wings when she sticks her ears out. You did a great job on your babies.

I posted a couple more good ones in the thread about, eye colors too. their really pink in those two. I'm just supposing it is the way the light hits them yet ive still never seen another one here with such bright pink eyes.

I find that it's quicker and the results are better if I hold the ear with one hand and a finger behind the ear and use the clippers pressing them flat against my finger ...

That's what I do too, AND....maybe this is a "duh" thing, but I had to learn that it actually works better to shave WITH the lay of the hair, rather than AGAINST it!

Shaving their ears makes me MUCH less nervous than trimming with scissors! But trimming with scissors is easier when the hair is wet...you can kind of pull it and it will stay "stuck out", and you can really see where the edges of their ears are.

I have never seen pink eyes but Zoe varies in color when he take pics.

LOL, I suppose that makes Maggie a real princess as she always has the pink eyes.
