Chicken Soup to be Discontinued???

Well everyone can rest easy. I just got this reply from Chicken Soup:

"I am sorry that you were misinformed. We do not plan on discontinuing
the Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Pet Foods. It is too good of
a pet food to get rid of. Perhaps the store plans on discontinuing it
because of some reason.

Nancy -- thanks for posting that! I received several packets of Diamond puppy and adult food samples from their company. They have no "best if used by dates" on them. I am not going to take a chance. I think I will write to the company and find out -- I just got these samples in December. Thankfully I have not used any of them yet.

GOOD! That's what I had hoped to hear! I forgot to e-mail them earlier because the phone rang and I got side tracked, so I am glad to hear that you e-mailed them and found out for us!

I DID just get back from a local feed store here - and I asked them there if it was being discontinued, and they said NO WAY! All of the workers there feed it to their dogs as well - it is such a great food

I had went out and traveled 2 hours to get the chicken soup and 2 others, My Yorkies will not eat it. so the stray cats ended up with 30.00 worth the new foods.

After hearing great reviews on Chicken Soup, thought I'd give it a try. Neither one liked it. I'm glad I just got the samples.

THANK GOD! I swear I was having a panic attack reading this thread!!! I was really flipping out!!!!

I am however thinking about trying a different food as the CS is not agreeing with Chynna and Charlie????? Pixie and Paris do Amazing on it!!! They have been on it since the day they came home!!!

They both are having Loose stools on it?? not super wet, just like pate... ugh! I want firm sausages! lol

Any suggestions???

I jusy emailed the company, asking about samples... I'm curious if Pepper would like it but I don't want to end up buying a full bag of kibbble and he won't touch it.

I feed Life's Abundance.............have you requested samples from them? It's great stuff and their coats show it

What about Canidae?? It's an All Life Stages food. Have you tried that?? It's supposed to be a really great food You can check it out on the Dog Food Analysis web site.

Also Innova is supposed to be wonderful - BUT, I don't know what breed Chynna and Charlie are?? This food is very high protein, so it wouldn't be recommend for puppies or smaller breeds of dogs.

romeo just started canidae. he went crazy for it. he didn't care for chicken soup. my groomer chrissy recommended canidae because she said it's good for dogs w/ eye gunk problems. so far it's been good. perfect poop and no belly problems.

My dogs love Chicken Soup brand. I just made a trip to Pet supplies Plus for the 35 pound bag. They had tons of it, so I'm glad

Has anyone used the Diamond and Professional samples? Im a little worried because I got the samples from the feed store this year and mixed it in with thier foods. I would think the recall issue has been resolved and all of the tainted foods have been pulled off the shelves (I am not in one of those states either).
