| It depends, some yorkie ears never stand, but a way to help ensure they do, is to tape them. If they are going to stand it'll usually happen at around 7 months, but even still they can flop then. I personally think floppy ears are adorable!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | We didn't get Ruby until she was 5 months old and her ears were already standing. I've kept them groomed and they've never gone down. I'm not certain exactly what age they normally stand on their own, if they are going to.

| When I got maggie, she was almost 11 weeks old and had floppy ears (see first pic). I wanted them to stand sooooo badly. I took her to the groomer and had the hair on her ears cut...all of it....and they perked a tad but really not much at all. So, I took cotton squares and cut them to the length of the ears, rolled it up longways and put it on the inside of the ears, wrapped the ears around the cotton ball, and used medical tape around the ears (see second pic). I left them like that for 24 hours....it was soooooooooo hard to wait that long, I wanted so badly to take them down but I waited...and now they are standing and have been standing for about 2 weeks now. she is going on 14 weeks (see third pic).

| Stella is a very tiny Yorkie so she always had standing ears. The breeder told me that it is very commun for small size Yorkies to raise their ears early than those that are going to be a little larger in size. Anyway, I like standing ears but I also loooooooove the floppy. [QUOTE=laura-jayne]I was just wondering at what age will my baby's ears change from floppy to standing????:conf

| Lola's breeder gave us a "baby book" with some of her younger pictures in it, and it's funny to see how her ears progressed. Her youngest pictures show both ears completely down. In her 10 week pictures, one is straight up and the other is still floppy. Now at 6 months, they are both up perfectly. |

| My little guy's ears stood up on their own by 12 weeks old. Just make sure to keep the hair short on the ears.
