How to work with a puppy in tow I work from home, and while I love to have Riley out and about, all of you know that puppies take constant monitoring... which wouldn't allow me to get any work done (not that you'll hear ME complain, but maybe my boss!!) Anyway, figured out a solution today. Puppy in lap with hoof equals occupied puppy and working mom.

I work from home on the internet (we have a IT solutions company) and I've had to move from working in my office on my desktop to working downstairs on the sofa with my laptop on my knee. Both pups will come and sit on the sofa with me, usually with a selection of chews and toys. When I had just one dog I tried to work in my office (it has a day bed in it for him to sleep on) but he hated me having my back to him (desk is in a alcove) and would cry and whine and try and get on my lap while I worked. It just wasn't very practical. Still ... its great to have them by me all day, and I love the freedom of being able to make my own hours so I can attend to them when needed.

Penny's good about just lying around to keep me company. I look forward to my "co-worker" being around.
