| is her hair going to get thicker I love my little Sassy to death but i think i am going to have to buy her a wig if she doesn't soon get more hair on top of ther head. It is common for there hair to be very thin on the top of the head at 17 weeks. Also she looks like a punk rocker hear hair from her scalp out about 1 1/2 inches is white and for about 1/2 inch is as black as you can get. She looks like someone dyed the ends of her hair (lol) is that normal. As you can tell this is my first yorkie. She is such a doll i wish i had gotten one years ago. I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey's hair is like that and behind the ears he was bald. Now at 5 months the hair behind the ears is a rich golden color and the hair on top is silver, and I'm told that it may turn as well. Seems like the cottony coats are thicker when they're puppies, but mat up more. Sassy probably has a true silky coat that will take longer to look great, but in the end, you'll love it. I think different products work best for each coat type. She's a doll by the way. Nancy |

| Gosh, I remember when Tatum's head hair started growing out lighter. She looked hilarious. I remember it being thin too - at least it looked thin partly because of the different root color! Yours is just a baby and will be going through so many changes with hair color and texture. I can't even remember now when Tatum went from being a poof ball to having longer thinner flowy hair. One thing for sure... be diligent about brushing AND combing her after her bath - all the way down to the roots. I remember I was brushing like I thought I should and when I got a comb I realized how that brush wasn't getting all the tangles at the roots. One thing I definitely recommend is Missing Link supplement. I don't know how old they should be before starting it... maybe someone else can answer that. We used it for about a year and then I heard about the Salmon Oil and decided to switch to that. I started noticing about 6-8 months later that Tatum's hair was just not looking as pretty and seemed thinner and hadn't needed to be cut in so long because it just wasn't growing. I put her back on Missing Link and about 4 months later.... huge difference in her coat. Guess I just didn't realize the first time I used it how much good it was really doing. So keep that in mind when she's old enough to have it! By the way, Sassy is a cutie pie! Congrats!

| She is so cute. I love the little patch of white on top. How cute is that! I believe that is normal. Buddy's was the same way. His is still not really full however he is very silky and the hair seems to just fall over his head. You have one adorable pup there. Carol & Buddy |

| Sassy is a cutie. Sissy's hair was white and black originally, too!! The hair on her head has remained very silky and fine today (17 months). I always have to put a band in her hair to attach any kind of bow and even the little clips don't stay in really well, but I do love the silky texture as it doesn't mat real easily. At 4 months & now....

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | I'm always bemoaning how thin Abigail's silky hair is! Hubby teases about getting her extensions. LOL I read we may have a longer wait; but, it will be worth it in the end!

| I got the 8oz bag. They say its good for 90 days after opening. I keep it in the refrigerator. Been giving it to both of mine, and looks like the bag will last all 3 months! Venus is amost 7 months old, and she has that "dyed tips" look on the top of her head too. I hope hers thickens up more, like the rest of her coat. |

| I completely forgot to talk about Missing Link....I use it with Sissy and the bag says to dispose 90 days after opening. I only give Sissy 1/4 tsp each day, so I will end up throwing out a substantial amount and that is after splitting a bag with another person!! Also, you aren't supposed to give it to a pup under a year old (unless maybe that is just the formula with glucosamine in it).....
