You can't love something you're not attached to. Hopefully your next puppy (Which I wouldn't recommend any more puppies) won't be as replaceable.

I recommend you return her and not get another puppy. Puppies, like human babies, are not perfect. They might weigh too much or too little. They might be too dark in color or too light in color. They might not have the personality you desire - too timid or too wild. They might not housetrain easily. They might not be perfect, but I see far too many people post here that expect perfection which exists only in their minds.

how rude and insulting can you get? i post hoping to get help with this problem and i get insulted for wanting that help. i never said love ended because of appearance

...if you really do not want a dog larger than, say, 4lbs fully grown, and you KNEW the reaction you'd get here for wanting to return a puppy, like it's a purse or something, WHY does it matter what we think? Why didn't you just return the pup, and not mention it, here? Why do the opinions here (or anywhere else) matter, if you feel strongly about what you want?

Repeating the consensus: If you're not happy and don't love her like she deserves to be loved - PLEASE either return her to the breeder, or rehome her where she'll be enjoyed.

i said i'm not 100% attached to her, like i am to my other babies....how could i be? i've had her a week and them for years...i do love her

This is not a problem anyone can help you with. You care about her size and obviously nothing we've said in the other threads helped you with getting over the fact that she MAY be 1 or 2 lbs over what you expected. So like I said before, no sympathetic posts here, just reality.

She slide in the tub and became unconscious and couldn't breath
she was playing with my other yorkie and again passed out
she was playing with a toy shaking it it hit her head and knocked her out

The little ones are way more fragile than you could imagion.
That iis so true you cant rely on the weight charts. My girl was 12 oz at 8 weeks. According to the charts she should be 3 lbs but she is 6 and i love every pound of her. There are alot of things you cant do with a tiny that you can with a bigger yorkie. I think you just like the idea of having a super tiny one but you havent really thought about the benefits of a bigger one.

Hi, I don't hate you but I do understand why many people are upset by your post. First, I'll be amazed if your breeder takes a healthy dog back. I don't believe this dog is right for you. If the breeder doesn't take it back please consider finding the puppy a new home. I loved all of my dogs the moment I saw their faces and couldn't imagine giving them away because of their size. Regardless, what you end up doing is your business. I have a relative that bought a yorkie that was absolutely beautiful. However, because he grew to 7 lbs. she was not happy and bought another yorkie. The second one is about 3 lbs fullgrown and the 7 lb. one was always getting pushed aside and ignored. It was truly heartbreaking and it took many family members to convince her to sell the 7 lb. one. I'm only telling you this because I'd hate to see this happen to another dog. I'm not saying you would do this but if your that unhappy already, I don't believe it will get any better. Please try to take the dog back or find it a new home. Good Luck with finding another dog but remember no'one can guarantee a size.

ok - i've calmed down, although the posts have mostly made me upset, i was expecting that. i realize how i must seem, to give a baby back because she's larger than i wanted...

I think you should give her back because you probably will resent her and she deserves better. But I have a feeling unless you dealt with a breeder who has ethics - you may not be able to return her. Poor thing...with all the sick puppies out there I'm surprised that someone would return a puppy because of her size a whole week after having her. :( GOOD luck to her....I hope things work out.

Someone mentioned there is no guarantee on dogs size - that\'s true. Your next try you may end up with a yorkie the same size....
