| I do not know about dogs, but I do know in humans, the femur bone is the biggest ONE bone in the body. Every one I've heard of whos had a broken femur bone has to have pins put in it. It is a bad bone to break. Good luck to you and melot. Hoping for a full recovery.

| I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes!! Melot now has a little puppy cast and will need to have it for 10 weeks. Even though he has gone through all of this he is still his happy self, and that is all that matters. He plays and runs with 3 legs almost as much as he did with 4 (he just tires easily). I read on another thread that the puppy was stepped on and bruised a lung...so I really don't have much to complain about. Melot is still healthy otherwise and most importanly ALIVE!! Thanks to all PS I asked the retard that stepped on my baby did he consider contributing to bill and can you guess the response?

| Poor little Melot! Don't worry Mom, you can do it without help from the beast that stepped on him ... some people just can't accept responsibility! We will keep him [and you] in our prayers.
