LOL I'm fine!! :) |
I personally would never get a big dog with any small dog, not just pitbulls. And I know a lot of people think they are just getting the bad rap but there is a reason they are getting a bad rap; they can't seem to stop mauling children, adults and other animals. I'm sorry but as much as the aggressiveness has to do with the owner, it also has to do with the breed. Pit bulls are aggressive in nature I don't care how sweet your aunts pit bull Penny is  Yes there are lots of people who have had PB who have done no damage to anyone but that's probably the rare low percentage of them. It's true that small dogs can also be aggressive but PB were BRED to fight and be aggressive. If a small dog bites, it's because it's protecting itself due to its size, when a PB attacks it seems it's mostly children and other small animals. An animal is always and will always be just an animal in instinct and nature but I for one would NEVER bring that kind of aggressive dog into my home and risk my yorkies or future children's lives. Just my opinion. I have no problem banning the breeding of these dogs. There are plenty of owners who treat them with love and respect but they still seem to snap and do damage. |

sorry now about the pitts, my cousin had one and he had it since a pup and he babied her and she went crazy out of no where and bit off half of his daughters face, she had about 262 stitches and right as they were about to heal she fell and busted alot back open again, but she didnt bither the dog the dog was just laying there and hot up and bit her and would not let go, i hear alot of people who say they acn be trained but according to one of the girls at the vets office their brain grows to large for their skull or something liekk that and causes them to snap, i have no idea if its true and im not standing by it faithfully so dont jump on me if its not true fellow yorkie talkers im just repeating what they said, they said it about pitts, dobbies, and rotts though, but it just sounds weird, but i really dont know what i would do or where i would go on this one |

Honestly, no one has died from being attacked by a yorkie. You can't say the same thing about a larger dog. I am NOT a fan of big dogs. My niece was bit by a Weimeriner(sp?). A very gentle sweet dog but she got her right on the face(she didn't mean to, it was an accident because the girl touched it's back and the dog responded instictively). She now has a scar that will last her whole life. Even if you get the sweetest big dog there is a small chance something undoable will happen. My chihuahua is not kid friendly and may bite BUT she will never be able to kill a child. The same can not be said of a pit bull. I do not think they should all be killed but I do not believe they should be bred anymore and by buying one you are giving them a demand for a dog that should not be around IMHO. |

i also remeber them saying that short hair dogs like the dobies and pittss need to beinside due to their hair being so short, even though i see lots of them living out side i guess they are ment to be inside only. |
