Help Help Help I have a new 6mo old furbaby, Evie. We have had her since Christmas Day. She has done pretty good using her potty pads, but I have had a problem the last 3 nights.......She has used the potty before I put her in her crate, about 10:00P.M. or so, and I get her out at about 6:15A.M. The last 3 mornings I have found poop in her crate. What do I do? She has a room (confined area) that she stays in during the day while we are gone (about 4 hours) and also when she needs to go potty (her pads are in the room) - at night she is in the room, but in her crate. Please help. I am not sure why she is doing this.

Open the crate door and let her get to her potty pad. Maybe when she is a bit older she will make it all night. Or maybe you can change the time of feeding so her poop will come at a different time.

Thank you for your suggestion. Her last feeding is between 5-6 (when we eat dinner). My husband had even thought maybe we should just leave her in the room and not put her in the crate - what do you think? I guess though if we leave the crate door open it does give her that "safe haven" she needs to feel comfy. Thanks again. Courtney

You could try checking on her a few times during the night to see if she has to go to the bathroom.

| I would use the confined room and leave the crate in there with the door open. She can use the crate if she wants, but has the whole room and potty pads if need be during the night. We used a bathroom for Sissy for several months. She now sleeps with us and the bathroom is only for when I'm gone.
