| The first one is Rocky running. The second one is Rocky and his sister Jilly (a teapot). They were from the same litter and they both have tails. Rocky's sticks out straight and Jilly's curls up on her back like a Maltese. The third one is Rocky jumping. Jilly has a sturdy tail. Rocky's is very thin boned. I had a Yorkie mix who's tail was thin like Rock's and it had several breaks.

| I really don't mind if my baby's tail is not docked but to actually see it and get used to it, it does take some time. I have not seen one in real but I'd like to. Maybe if I get another yorkie in future, I don't want his/her tail docked.

I think that is a good step by the UK. I don't think it serves any health purpose to dock them. I actually think it is cruel to dock tails and crop ears.

| it is illegal to dock tails in Germany. Also, most European Yorkies come with tails undocked...

| I just found this article: The Kennel Club in the UK has banned the exhibition of dogs with cropped ears or docked tails n dog shows as of 2007. The Canadian Kennel Club permits the showing of uncropped or undocked dogs; however, the ?traditional? look is still the norm. Tail docking is banned in many countries in Europe and has been banned in Australia since 2004, except when performed by a veterinarian for medical reasons. Members of Parliament in the United Kingdom voted to ban tail docking in March 2006, except for working dogs or for medical reasons. Ear cropping has been banned in many countries, particularly in Europe, and is illegal in Newfoundland and Labrador under the 1978 Animal Protection Act. It is also banned in Australia, New Zealand, and Scandinavia. From: http://cfhs.ca/athome/ear_cropping_and_tail_docking/
