I am so sorry for your terrible loss. Cali is my 4th yorkie and the other 3 passed on. But after each one passed on I truly thought my heart would break the pain was so intense. For me getting another one helped me heal and did not lessen my love for the sweet baby that passed on. WHen Gracie, my last Yorkie before Cali died at 6 1/2 after a year of nothing but vet visits and trouble breathing, I just couldn't think of getting another Yorkie. My husband and Dtr fell in love with a Pom and in my grief I said do whatever you want, and they brought her home. It was very hard because she was so different personality wise, not cuddly, wanted to be under the bed and hyper. I did come to love her but she wasn't a Yorkie. So when I lost my job 2 years ago I finally decided to get a 2nd dog, something I had never done, 2 at once, and WOW Cali was everything I had been missing, sweet, cuddly loving and spunky. So with having 4 yorkies I can safely say it is possoble to find another one who is sweet and cuddly as it is in their basic personality. Each one had their own special traits and a special place in my memory but they were all the same in so many ways. When the time is right you will know and be able to see past the horrible pain you feel now and welcome another one in to your home and heart. I am now looking for another Yorkie as they are truly my heart. You will be in my prayers to help you through this difficult time.
