Tushy Problem Im freaking out because the vet is closed today and tomorrow. I dont know whats going on with Chewy...She had diarhea today (in the elevator of my building) and when we got home i gave her s long bath but i realize that her tushy still smells reallyyyyyy bad. no matter how many times i wash it, the smell wont go away. I also noticed that this morning she went to tinckle on her pad about 10 times which she did after being spayed a month ago but not for a few weeks already. I dont know what the smell could be but maybe an infection???????? The vet is closed and i dont want to pay for emergency vet unless i have to. Does anyone have any ideas??????????????

You may not have a choice. If your dog is really sick, you don't want to let it go on for too long. Has she had any more diarrhea? If you have ever had a urinary tract infection yourself, you'll know how she might be feeling and you'll want to get her to the vet.

| If it is her tushy that smells it could be her anal glands. I would find an emergency vet if you are real concerned.

She doesnt seem like shes in pain or uncomfortable. We took a walk for about an hour and she was running ahead of me and really excited. She hasnt had any more diarhea, but is having gas....really bad gas. I know that i have a tendency to overreact so i dont want to take her to an emergency vet unless i have to. I know my regular vet has thought i was crazy for some of the things i bring her in for!! I just wanted some ideas for what this may be? And also how can i calm her gas....she doesnt seem to have a tummy ache. I just realized that Im giving her new food. She had some chicken with veggies today but also over the last week or so i've been adding about 10-15 peices of Canidae to her Nutro. She has been eating Nutro for about a month but seems to be getting annoyed of it, so i was trying to wean her onto something else...Could it be the Canidae? Does anyone else feed it??? This is probably the worst time to ask since everyone is having Christmas Dinner right now But i really need advice.. Happy Holidays

Is she scootching her hiney on the rug? Sometimes the glands can become impacted. Do a search on google and you can read all about them. Knowledge will help you make your decision. Keep an eye on her and you'll be able to make the best decision. I hope it's just a minor thing and yes a change in diet could be the reason.

I havent noticed her doing that...which is a good sign that she hasnt done it because she is like my shadow whenever im home. Do people empty them at home??? I dont think I could do that!! We'll prob. go to the vet for that. Any anti-gas remedies? Should i give her some mylanta? Or just let her sleep it off and stop giving new food?
