how much did your yorkie weigh at 5 months ??

I should said i don't give her snacks and give her the suggested food amount per day from the brand food i get her. She eats blue buffalo puppy food and the recommended amount is1/2 a cup per day. I do free fee her.

Ava was 2.5 pounds at 6 months and now at 10 months she is 4.3 pounds

Six weeks ago, I adopted my sister's 10 week old Yorkie(?) puppy she had just gotten but was not able to keep due to a job change. Dubby weighed about 2 lbs then, now, at 4 months he weighs a whopping 7.5 pounds, so he is gaining almost a pound a week! I swear I can see a difference from day to day. It's like someone is sneaking in at night and blowing him up like a parade balloon! He's so cute, looks just like a normal sized Yorkie puppy but on a gigantic scale. I'll post again at 5 months and let you know if this tremendous growth rate continues.

oh how cute!!! We have a "teapot" too... my dd's Ace. I thought he would be about 7 lbs full grown but he is 11 lbs. (hes 2 now) totally perfect and 100% yorkie but just bigger. He's mother was 5 lbs and father smaller-- goes to show the history of the line is important.


My Remy was 4lbs at 1 year --- she gained upto 5 lbs in the next two years. She is now on steroids and is really chubby.

My yorkie will be 2 yrs in November, currently right now in August she's only 4 lbs 6 oz... has kept study for past months at this weight. I doubt my baby girl will get any bigger at this stage?


Anyone know when they actually stop growing?? what age?

Well, SUPPOSEDLY my sister could have gotten AKC papers if she wanted to pay more. The whole thing sounds a bit shifty to me. I'm not concerned how he turns out though, because I'm in love with him. He's also company for my 3ish year old, 6 pound baby girl (rescue.)

I'm attaching a series of pictures and maybe someone can tell me what he is! The first is Dubby and Dottie, he was 3 months and about 4 pounds. The second is him at 3.5 months, the third is Dottie and Dubby again and he's 4 months (that's her underneath him!) the last is also him at 4 months with a weird ear trim to help them stand up, they are actually pointy, not round.
