| A Small Problem... Ok, well .. I have a "myspace.com" account and all my friends can see pictures of me, and my beautiful doggies! .. well a specific friend asked about Ginger.. she was like i want to get a small yorkie like yours but under 500 so i can put her in my purse and hopefully breed her to make babies cause they are so cute. i messaged her back that it is kind of hard to get a purebred yorkie for under 500 in our area since everything here in Los Angeles is way overpriced anyways. i told her i'd help her find one, i also tried to explain that there is no such thing as a teacup blah blah.. she messaged me back that yorkies that are 1000 are too expensive and not worth getting.. but she wants me to find one thats under 500 cause thats all she wants to spend.. she already has a small daschund.. and she's always always always comparing him to my dogs.. saying my puppy is cuter than yours... lol.. but i know some of you got your pups for less than 1000, but should i really help her get a pup under 500 (if i can find one).. i feel like she's not really going to take care of the yorkie, and she might breed it just for kicks.. i want to give her more knowledge as to why some purebreds are so expensive, but i myself don't really know much.. do i make sense? lol sorry if i don't .. but shes just really pressing me hard to get her a yorkie.. |

| Sorry But my first thought is to tell her no. She seems to have little reguard for the care a small dog would need, and being so brazin about breeding is not a good idea. I would just let her know that you are unable to locate a dog for that price, and try to educate her as much as possible. She may go out to get a dog no matter what, but I personally would not want that on my consious. Esp if she decides to breed a 2 lb dog. Good luck

| thank you marlee. She did ask me to breed my little ginger, i replied with a no i'm not going to especially if she's under 5-6 pounds due to the wide array of health risks that might arrise during pregnancy and what not. i tried to tell her i do not shove my yorkies in a purse as some sort of fashion statement. i really dont i have them in a carrier that you can't even tell they are in there, cause i hate it when people do know they are in your purse and poke at them! |

| just tell her how expensive it is to breed and she will probably reconsider. It sounds like she really does not want to spend a lot of money so maybe she would reconsider when she finds out the expense involved as well as the dangers of breeding a dog that size. |

| i didnt mean to be mean to her, but i did tell her, if she wanted a dog under 500, get a chihuahua, which are fairly small as well i forgot to mention all of that stuff! it is very expensive to breed, a lot of hard work too and a lot of time to put into it. i will let her know when she messages me about finding her a dog.. and now.. lol very demanding! lol |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | WOW..it's such a shame she wants to make a fashion statement AND sell puppies - That is just really scary !! I think a nice long email explaining the care and expense of small yorkies would be a GREAT idea ...www.mylittlemia.com has lots of info for those that want a tiny yorkie and know nothing about them - It might be worth looking at her site..but I think you emailing her personally may have more of an impact - Good luck |

| Refer her to our forum. Will not take us long to sort her out about tinies, prices and most of all...irresponsible making of puppies. She has no business with a Yorkie that costs any amount of money til she learns about responsible breeding. Maybe she should look at the puppy mill sites to learn what irresponsible breeding produces. OMG, I sure took off on her, didn't I? Well, I don't regret it. I hope one of these wonderful babies never ends up in her clutches.. Okay, off the soapbox! But it will not take much to climb back up again.. |

Well if she does get a Yorkie, and have a litter, she will see how many kicks she gets out of Medical costs, and time and attention it takes to raise a litter to at least 8 weeks of age. And THEN turn around and sell her puppies for less than $400.00 . | |

| I agreed with everyone. I think your friend doesnt seem to really care for the well being of the pup, is more as a fashion statement. And then she wants to breed a small baby. I wouldnt help her get a Yorkie. Good luck. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | MERCY! How old is this lady? She seems TOO imature to own a yorkie much less anyother type of dog. I'm sure her weiner dog is cute, but cuter than a yorkie? I doubt it! I wouldn't help this lady one bit. She sound like a friend of mine. She didn't pay much for her yorkie but wants everyone else to pay $1000+. |

| well if she thinks they cost too much . Wait till she has to have a c-section and maybe the female and pups will live and maybe not and see what that cost. It really maddens me when people think breeding is a walk in the park. If you truely love your dog, it should come first and formost.

| Ok well i told her about mylittlemia.com (Thank yoU! red98vett) and she was like oh.. whatever.. gosh i've never been more irritated in my life Lol.. she doesn't care, i told her i wasn't going to help her find one, i told her if i did, i know what kind of parent she'd be by the way she's the same age as me (19 or maybe 20).. i only met her through a friend, so it doesn't matter if i lost her as a friend.. her loss, not mine! i told her i'm not breeding oreo and ginger and selling them for thousands of dollars because i wouldn't do that to my babies, i told her i paid for what i wanted.. if she wanted to pay 200 dollars for a pure yorkie, she'll get a 200 dollar yorkie with an over bite, mites etc! she was telling me, i bet you i'll find a better one than ginger for less than what i got her for.. and end of story.. best of luck to her and thats that... thanks for replying everyone.. i tried really hard to convince this one! |

| Yeah, she doesnt really sound like a friend. I hate that nonsense of my dog is better than your dog. I heard my son and nephew (10 & 11) doing that on the phone the other day. This girl needs to grow up. Sounds like it is just a passing fancy for her anyway. |
