| Sorry, but if that is a rare red yorkie, I am a rare purple kangroo. I have seen a lot of yorkies, and even the red ones, which are mutations of the color genes in the yorkie. |

| Interesting read. My Yorkie is red and had a brother that looked like the one in the photo. They have and old gene according to the link and the red ones hair grows very slowly. Mine is AKC, is red legged and his hair does not grow fast. Also he has some brindle striping and party markings. All about the Red |

| What you have there is not a red Yorkie, it is a "red legged Yorkie." Quite different from what was posted in the OP's original post. The dog in the first post looks like a poodle mix to me.
