things that make u go Hmmmmmmmmmm I want to get something off my chest that is really starting to bother me. Lately I have noticed that there have been a few trouble makers on here. The comments they have made have been not only ignorant but rude and hurtful. I have a strong suspicion(sp) that people from another dog forum are either jealous that we have such a great forum where we all get along or just plain idiotic and childless. If you notice all of these people started popping in about the same time and it never takes longer than a few posts before they get mean. I do not mean all the newbies just the few who intentionally come into this forum to cause trouble. I realize we probably have one of the BEST yorkie forums around so of course there is bound to be those asanine few that want to try and destroy what we have. Well to those of you (and you know who you are) that have nothing better to do than be rude and ignorant please leave and tell the reat of your psychotic followers to find something else to do with thier time. For the restof you newbies please know that we are very happy to have you in our forum and hope you will stay and share with us your stories, pics, advice and questions with all of us. Thanks, sue |
Very well said Sue, I totally agree. I have noticed the same thing. |
Not rude maybe? Maybe you are getting your feelings hurt a little easier then most. This is basically an advice/message board where individuals ask for advice and what we think about something. Sometimes when they ask, the readers/listeners would never do what they are being asked for validation of, so someone offers a differing point of view, that is not being mean, simply having a different viewpoint or opinion. Often times, we might not think about things from a different point of view and this gives the asker/poster the opportunity to look at something from all views. I don't find anyone here being mean, I ask for advice, take what I can use and toss the rest, I would not ask if I did not want an honest answer/opinion. JMHO |
I post on 4 forums and each one is good in their own way - This site IS awesome and I personally would never be here to cause trouble ...Lots of people jump around when things get slow on other sites - I had started here a year ago and it was much slower then... but I always liked this site and am very happy to see it's grown so much ...After coming from a huge site called Yorkies Direct (which shut down) that had 1200 or more members - Yorkietalk is now reminding me of that site and it's wonderful. I happen to like the Administration here and think fast eddie is great. With one recent exception when things did get over the top here ...I haven't seen anyone getting mean - I've read some threads throughout the year ON THIS SITE that got stirred up ...but I think that's normal on all the sites - I only replied to this because not all motives for new people from other sites are bad....Lots of people just want to read and talk about yorkies and hook up with friends I'm not new ...I do post on other sites ....I recently started posting more here ...because things were SLOW - and I guess felt this was directed to those of us who aren't big time posters. By the way - the SAME thing you're talking about is going on on another site and it IS strange. |
No i dont mean everyone. what I am saying is that it seems it all started within the past few weeks. I totally one hundre percent am for different opinions and views. Its just on some threads there have been about 2 or 3 different new people that were not stating opinions but were being vicious and mean with thier statements and then after that you dont see them posting again. I think its very interesting to see everyones thoughts and views but for example the posts on the thread about greenies, there is no reason for a staement that was made about you shouldnt own a yorkie if you feed them greenies. Then there was the night that a certian poster was being just mean to natalie. Thats what I am talking about. I think this is a wonderful forum and I have leared a lot from all you but it just seemed funny that these few that were posting had no opinions just mean comments. I myself have very thick skin but I also think that a certian respect should be given to everyones opinions. To see an example of what I am talking about look at the thread regarding royal puppies. That was just being mean. I in no way meant that all the newbies are this way I am happy to see this forum grow and florish as it has . And i thinl the administration is doing an awesome job on here. |
well I sure missed the Greenies post .....For Real ? |
Yeah , I beleive it was on the 3rd or 4th page |
I don't think all NICE boards are the least bit interesting. If everyone agrees, whats the point of it? We are all different people and have different opinions. I don't expect anyone to agree with me or like what I type. It nice when they do but I am not one of those keep you feet in line type of gals. I like different. Some people need the rudeness and meaness to get the point. I call it constructive criticism. When this many people gather together, there will be disagreements, and thats the fun part. We all learn from each other that way. |
I'm staying da heck outta dis one! Wexy :p |
hhhhhmmmmm, I don't think it was me.... but I do have that kind of reputation! Well, people just don't understand me and my humor, that's all!!! :p :yorkietal |
I am very new on this site. I enjoy it very much so far. At my job, I have to be tough. There is no room for error. So, what I have to do when I am off of work is to read and read again what I write in my personal life so I am not being my work life. I am very interested to read those threads listed previously. I view this site as a wealth of information and have not been on another site yet. Thanks to all who have communicated with me. |
I think the main thing is respect. Everyone can get worked up about something they really believe they are right about. But we don't need to insult someone's character because their opinion is different. |
Naw eensor I dont mean this to be controversial at all I stated already that I beleive all opinons are wonderful and valued. We all learn from them, what I think everyone is missing is the following: Last few weeks things posted here have been posted else where as to cause trouble 2 or 3 new people have posted mabe 10 times and of those posts most were direspectful. after those few posts they are usually gone and no further posts. Thats what I am saying everyone. I have NO problem with varying opinions I do have a problem with these certian very very few people coming here to intentionally cause trouble. If you think calling someone boring stupid and a b**** is an opinion then maybe I need to go back to highschool because I was raised to believe that was rude and disrespectful. Thats what I meant by my post. |
True dat! I agree with all of you! Everyone can join the fun! :D But sometimes there is always someone who wants to start trouble. But everyone has their own opinions! |

hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm! What did I miss???? |
I just did a quick read through the posts for Greenies. Wow. I myself have yet to run into someone who is being rude. I think that we all forget that we all have wonderful taste. We have yorkies!!! Anything that will help my babies live a long, healthy life, I am all for. I feel lucky to have found this site. |
I love YorkieTalk and no mean, rude, angry-at-the-world person can ruin it for me. I guess when they stick around long enough (which seems to be around 10-20 posts) they realize that nothing can puncture through the wonderful circle of people on this forum and the great new members that join us everyday! So, when they realize that.. what else is there to do but leave? If you make mean comments and someone is still nice to you in return, your goal is meaningless and they leave. I am glad they do because YorkieTalk is no place for rude, obnoxious people who just want to be melodramatic. :p :yorkietal |
Well said Natalie!!! :yeahthat: I second that!!!! :bravo: |
i apologize for this thread. i started it because someone sent a thread about bushy creek kennels to another person and they had threatened fasteddie with a law siut for slander. I have asked admin to erase this thread because my intention was not get anyone mad but let that certian person know they really need to find something better to do with thier time. Sorry if you thought this to be about opinions. It was just about being malicious thats all. sue |
Why are you sorry? You stated your opinion with respect. You didn't offend me and I am glad that there is a forum where you can state your opinion freely with respect. I value different people's opinion and if what you started makes people take a step back and be nicer, good job. I personally had no problem with what you said and I look forward to communicating with you in the future. |

Sue, I think the suit crap is just that. If you don't give people, ESPECIALLY buyers reason to complain you don't have to worry about it. I will post on every board and in IM's about bad breeders. DON'T DO IT AND WE WON'T HAVE REASONS TO COMPLAIN! |
All i know is this is the greatest forum I have ever been a part of.. Everyone here is fantastic and I try my hardest not to ofdfend anyone.. I don't notice though that when you type something over the computer its hard to figure out how the person actually feels.. Maybe you really something that seems harsh that was meant to be sarcastic... I think its great that Sue felt comfortable stating her opinion and I think its great that everyone has seemed to respect that.. YT, keep doing what you are doing!! You're the best!!! :yorkietal :we're #1: |

AMEN! lol |
There's nothing wrong with your post at all, Sue! It's always good to have different opinions, as we can all learn that way. With over 2500 members now, there's bound to be a few troublemakers that either want to stir up trouble or upset certain members. I've only seen a FEW members leave because of troublemakers, and usually they are the newer members. We've always tried to cut down any potential problems as soon as we see it or are made aware of it. Some posts that are just ridiculous get deleted, but most posts will stay. If you go to any forum that's popular, there will always be a few that try to cause trouble, it's just part of life. I think most of the YT regulars can see right through it and it wouldn't affect their activity on YT. |
fasteddie- Two thumbs up :) |

I Wrote that post ....I was told about the email today and wanted everyone to know Admin cares about yorkies and other animals enough to let that thread stay there - so far. I hated hearing of any trouble over something I posted but in my heart I was glad people are reading and listening !! We're talking about experiences and no matter what - I stand behind what I said ...If YT Admin needs that thread gone ...I respect that too - I know it's NOT coming up in searches like it used to and it was stated someone emailed the owner directly - shame on that person !! It did bother me that a member would email them and tell them after it's been here since last JULY..... it's too bad someone is contacting site owners to start something controversal...It's happening all of a sudden on other sites too...but that post isn't only here - it was posted ALL over the net along with other complaints over the same breeding practices... |

It would be kind of boring if we all agreed on everyhting all the time!!!!! :thumbs up :yorkietal |
