| terrier-torial problems We were such a happy little family: Mr. Monster, my boyfriend and I. Monster was always a Momma's boy and had a stronger attachment to me, but he still loved his daddy. However, within the past week, Monster has gotten very territorial with me, he has to be between us all the time. What really set us both off though was last night he growled at my boyfriend when he tried to kiss me! We told him no, and put him in his pen, but this kind of behavior can't continue...any advice on what to do? |

| Have your boyfriend feed him and give him treats. Another thing that will make them bond is if your boyfriend teaches him tricks

Also, it would be a good idea to have time in the house when you and pup are separated. Monster (perhaps the name is a self-fulfilling prophecy?) needs to learn that he can cope with being separated from you.

| Mojo is really attached to me too! He doesn't growl at my DH, but if he tries to kiss or cuddle w/ me, Mojo gets "jealous" and goes and starts licking DH! We correct him each time.....It is something that will be corrected w/ time and paitence. Mojo has always finally learned that he "doesn't" have to be everywhere I am. Some days, I miss him not being at my feet.....isn't that horrible?! - but he has learned that his time is nice too! So, the best advice I can give you through my experiences, just have paitence, keep correcting him and give him time.......it will happen! The advice given above it great too! Good luck!

| Thank you for all of the excellent advice. We have been working on the problem. When Monster is alone with my boyfriend, they're fine and super together, and he loves Daddy. But, no matter what, as soon as I come into the picture, it's like a battle for "No, no, that's my woman!" and it is not as if he doesn't adore my boyfriend, I came home to find the two of them nestled on the couch. And if we're on opposite sides of the room, Monster is totally comfortable with the situation, but the minute we get close. I guess we'll just have to keep working on it! Or hopefully, do any of you think things will get better when Monster gets fixed? |

| Good luck with this! I'm sure that when he's neutered, he'll be much less terrior-torial
