| ![]() Jodie, I am not sure what my regular vet is going to say yet about giving her the vaccine again in the future. I haven't spoken with them yet about it, as they were closed by the time I got out of the ER vet yesterday. I know the ER vet is faxing over a copy of everything from yesterday though so it can go in her record. She will not be getting this vaccine again though if not absolutley necessary if it's up to me though. If it is necessary, then I'm sure they will have to give her antihistamine before hand, as well as keep her to monitor her afterwards :-( I think a Titer test would be the smart choice before having Sissy's shots done again. No need to put these babies at risk if we don't have to! Good luck, and let me know what you decide! ![]()

| ![]() Wow! What a scare! It seems like you were in the right place at the right time to get Pheona to the vet on time. I would do much research on the pros and cons of the Distemper if she is allergic. It might be a reaction to some component of that particular brand -- maybe there is some other drug that will be safer for her. Sending hugs to both of you ![]() |

| ![]() Poor baby, and poor Mommy too. I is so terrifying when something happens to our babies. I am glad you shared the incident with us, because I was no aware that dogs can have such reactions of their shots. I will be staying around the vets office for a while after shots are administered. I am sorry that it happened, but I am glad the incident can be a learning experience for the rest of us. Give the baby a kiss and consider yourself hugged. |
