The one in front is a little girl, and I think she's spoken for. I had first choice between the first, second, and last pup, who are all boys. Only the one next to mine is unspoken for I think. |
I've been doing research and found one sight that had some good information on it in case you are having your baby shipped to you. Here's some things to remember to bring to the airport. Tips for picking up your babies from an airport: Bring Diaper Wipes - Your baby has had a long flight and is still young so accidents will most likely happen. Your baby may be wet or messy and making them all clean will make them feel better Bring a Towel - After you wipe your baby down you need to dry them off so they will not be chilled. Bring a soft warm blanket - Babies are used to being with their siblings and mother and are not used to be alone. Having something soft and warm available will help them feel more at ease and safe Bring Nutrical- Bring this with you to the airport and give them a small amount as soon as you get them. If they don't want to eat it just smear it on their lips. This will ensure that their blood levels will be brought back up in case they are messed up from the flight. Bring another Person! - If at all possible bring someone else with you, it will be easier to pick up your babies things and drive home if you have someone there to help you carry things and hold the baby in his/her crate while you drive home. On another note, I decided what food I am going to be feeding mine! I'm going with a mix of Chicken noodle soup for the puppy lovers soul and Canidea all life stages kibble. I've done a ton of research on different foods everything from Timberwolf organics to Royal Canine to Artemis fresh mix and those two came up with the best nutritional value that I could find. Another bonus is that they are all organic, contain zero by products ad zero corn. |

Found these tips on the internet, thought I'd share them here since we're all getting new babies and need to be aware of the signs of Hypoglycemia Symptons for Hypoglycemia: Limp or Lethargic (a good way to tell if your puppy is acting lethargic or just sleepy is to make a noise while they are "resting" clap your hands or shut a book, anything to get their attention, if they don't respond or look up they are lethargic and need to see a vet immediatly) Tongue or gums are grayish blue not pink Diarahea and Vomitting Hypoglycemia can be brough on by stress which can easily happen from moving from one home to another, esepcially if your baby is quite young. If you are aware of the signs and catch it and do something about it, it won't be a big deal. However, if you are unaware of the signs and do nothing it could be deadly. Make sure your new puppy does eat during its first day at your home. If they do not eat their blood sugar can drop rapidly and become dangerously low and the symptons mentioned above can start happening. If this does happen give them a small amount of karo syrup or nutrical and have your puppy seen by a vet ASAP. |
