We were in PetSmart and Nico was scared to death so I was carrying him around. I had him facing forward across my arm so he could see what was going on. We were, afterall, shopping for him! An older lady comes up and exclaims...Oh, my what a cute dog!! Is it a boy?? My witty four year old daughter says...His wee wee is RIGHT there, ma'am (as if to say...can't you tell? it's in plain sight!) I bout died. :embarasse

That's why I have my own saying "Stupid People Piss Me OFF" and hubby wanted to comment that they dont know what they are talking about until they have one!

I really havent ran into that much, everyone loves my dogs. I actually use to be one of those people though:rolleyes: I didnt like small dogs I thought they were dumb & ugly. Of coarse I didnt like a lot of big dogs either especially the once labled mean or males-I was picky. A golden retriever type. Big, friendly & calm:)
Then one day a friend needed help, she couldnt keep her pom. So I took him & told her when things got better I'd give him back. He was a awesome little guy. So smart, independant & funny. I fell in love. She got a bigger place & a new job so I let him go back-he was in love w/her or I would have kept him. Then I recieved a poodle-I thought I hated poodles. I took it out of pity & thought I would find it a good home. It was different from the pom but still impressed me so much. Also had a big male rot show up at my door & turned out to be so sweet. They really taught me to be open minded about breeds, sexes & sizes they all have their good qualities. Its just closed minded stupidity and I think alot of people are jealous. They want one but dont want to pay the $. I would just say "Dont hate me cause ya aint me" lol

Usually a roll of the eyes will do it, I try not to get upset. I don't think people are trying to be mean, I think they know yorkies are cute, and just want to say something to get a rise out of us.
I always say I had 2 children, I switched to dogs they're easier to house break. lol

Sometimes I think people are so nice to me, especially the men, they wanna pet my dog of coarse its head is right up against my boob,lol. I guess thats one sure fire way to get people to like little dogs-a free feel up,lol.

My husband wont carry the dog around, he gets embarrassed but at home its a different story...And when we are out & he rolls his eyes like he thinks I'm ridiculous-I say dont make me get out the pictures-I have pics of the dogs on his back & he is riding them around. I love all dogs, but these Little ones are just so special.

Actually they are right! They are a rat dog...Our adorable little furbabies were originally bred to kill rats! So you can say to people, when they call your furbaby and "rat dog"..O....I see you know the history of the Yorkshire Terrier!

I get all kinds of comments on the girls from different people...that's not a dog, what is it, is it a teacup....I have heard them all...I just don't pay attention...some people just like to be mean.

I have had many people call my Grayson a rat, even my dad calls him that! I just ignore it and move on.

Bruce is big for a yorkie and people still give me crap about him being little...Once at Petco this guy was really obnoxious about it and I just turned and said to him...

You are right he is pretty little, and just think at only 10 pounds he still has a bigger penis than you...

Most people's jokes about his size can also be put to rest when they see him back his good pal Tater Tot the 145 pound great dane into a corner!

Ignore fools they do not know what they are missing!
