| Hi JeanieK! / was re: Hello??????? Me, addicted? Never! I think there's always homework to do; it never ends. One more class - which starts Tuesday - and then I'll be done with my Masters in Information Technology I'm taking some classes at Universal Class too, some on dog first aid and natural feeding. I like school and learning new things - I am having a blast! Heidi likes it to a point - she'll sit on my lap for a while and sometimes watches the computer screen. I pet her often there and she gets plenty of kisses. But she'll only stand it for so long, and off she goes exploring, or to watch me from the bed. I think the heat from the tower and the UPSs, down by my feet, gets to her. Theresa Quote:

| Hi Linda! :) Thanks for the welcome! Anything for my Heidi Nice to see you're on AIM - do you use the AOL program or a third party like trillian? I use a b&w shot of Robert Lansing as my icon, but once I get my camera and do some playing, I may switch to a picture of Heidi. I love the icons and pictures that I see on this site. Theresa Quote:

| Hi JiggityJig :). Let's see. How I got Heidi is a bit of a long story. My cousin raises Yorkies, and occasionally she breeds them. She is all licensed and everything - she's not a fly by night or bad breeder - that's not Cuz's style. Her dogs only go to people she handpicks, and it's really tough for her when they go. She's bought several dogs to get them away from mean and abusive people and breeders - she's a soft touch (like me) with a heart bigger than the Universe. She got Heidi from one of those people (if you can call them that), and soon knew she'd be perfect for me. You have no idea how much I prayed that Heidi would like me - and it was love at first sight for both of us! Cuz brought her down one of the times she came to see Grandpa in the hospital in May, and we haven't been apart very much since then. I really dread leaving her when I start working full time again. I know Mom & Dad will be home much of the time, but still... it's like sending your baby off to school, I guess. Heidi has a beautiful brown and white face and forefront, gorgeous chocolate eyes, and the fastest tounge in the Universe! Her ears are mainly brown, with some blue, and her white-with-touches-of-brown hair spills down onto a blue and silver coat. She has brown and white paws. She has the softest fur I have ever felt. Oh, and she's slightly over four dog years old now. Which makes her 28 in human years, and so on her next birthday she'll be almost as old as I am. Theresa Quote:

| Hi Monday! Yes, she is - and not spoiled a bit, of course.... Sometimes when we all take naps, Heidi snuggles up with Dad under the covers. All you can see, if you peel back the blanket, is two little eyes staring up at you. So cute! Theresa Quote:

| Hi Daisy Mae06 I love that Santa picture! PetSmart is advertising Santa shots this weekend, but I'm not sure Heidi's ready for that yet. She lives up to her name; she's scared of almost anything, though she has improved quite a bit since she's adopted us. For example, we have three kittens, at least eight weeks old, I think, who's various Mommies abandoned them or left them to us. They usually drive Heidi nuts - she's scared of them, and they're not quite sure what she is. They don't hurt her or anything, but when they show up, she wants away. The other night I looked at my bed and about dropped my teeth - Heidi was stretched out, awake even, and the little black kitten was curled up by her rump, touching her. That's a BIG step from where Heidi was before. I am so proud! Theresa Quote:
