| Agility Yorkie I've been reading about agility and would love to try it with Pepper. For now, I've found some great pictures of a European Yorkie winning agility contests. Great things really come in small packages....

| Demi loves agility and is really good at it! She goes up the full-sized A-frame and everything. She loves the tunnels best -- she thinks they're a great way to play peek-a-boo. So cute! My only advice is to find an agility trainer who is small-dog-friendly. I went to a respected training club and got a trainer who was biased toward border collies (which is pretty common, I think). The other dogs in the class were all big, and the trainer seemed to prefer working with them. Even though Demi was the best performer in the class, she got the least amount of attention. After a couple of months, I stopped going because both Demi and I were bored by the fact we ended up standing around most of each class. And the classes weren't cheap, either. Demi and I do agility, freestyle, and obedience. She is the smartest dog I've ever had, and I've had a lot of dogs. Have fun in agility! |
