| New to yorkie forum Hi there; I am the proud owner of 3 yorkie babes. A 9yr. old male, 2 yr. old male and a 9 mo. old female. They are the sweetest thing on earth. Very addicting. |

| Thanks. I am considering breeding my little girl when she turns 2. She is just now having her first heat and all has gone well with separating her from the boys. She weighs 5lbs. and the boy I plan on breeding her with is 61/2 lbs. The vet says this is ok. Do you agree. I don't want to take any chances if this is not safe. |

My furkids Donating Member | Just wanted to say Welcome...I am not a breeder but, I have heard from other members (who are breeders) that the male should be smaller than the female...you may want to check into this.

| Welcome to YT! I believe that you have a higher risk of needing a C-Section if your male is larger than your female. I would go with a smaller one to be safer. Teri
