| After months - news of Charlie! Hi All - We didn't mean to fall off the edge of the earth but it's been a crazy 3-4 months - all starting with me getting an awful dose of poison ivy from the oils of the plant on Charlie's coat which resulted in anaphalatic shock (for me - not Charlie!) I'll skip all the dreadfully pathetic details of my life on steroids - think PMS 400% worse! All because I was walking him all the time to burn the edge of the energy off him! I could write a novel about the adventures that Charlie and we have been on the last months but it's almost too overwhelming to type out. Highlights: 1. Charlie has Grade 1 LP in both back legs 2. He had stitches (dog fight) 3. He had bruised ribs (another dog fight) 4. He dropped out of obedience class 5. He was evaluated at the U of Penn with a laundry list of issues - including fear aggression and generalized anxieties 6. His recent blood work shows elevated pancreatic enzymes 7. There was a mistake at the pharmacy and he received the wrong RX for 10 days until I realized something must be wrong!!!!!! 8. He is now on Paroxitine to help lower his anxieties so that we can work on some behavior modification with him. This little guy is very special and needs a lot of theraphy. Pick a cause - he could be a poster child for so many! But I adore him! He really is a sweet fella but has such phobia's that he finds it very difficult to function at times. I can't rave on enough about the folks at U of Penn and the amazing support we are getting from them. Anyway - here are some recent photos (excuse Charlie's 'do but I haven't had time to trim him up nicely and the vet did a hack job at the hair when they shaved him to sew him back up!). |

| Wow! As the saying goes, "If you didn't have bad luck, you wouldn't have any at all!" I hope that things are on the upswing now. It sound like the only things that can happen have to be good.

| last two Here are two of Charlie and Ruby playing. Without Ruby, I'm not sure what Charlie would do. Actually - I'm not sure what any of us would do without Ruby. She has a wonderful glow about her and an amazing calming effect on my boy Chaz..... although you'd never know it by these pictures! |

| Well - I'll tell you one thing - Charlie is a very handsome little Yorkie. Dogs are all so different - we really never know what we're going to get - do we? I have a Bichon and Yorkie. I think they are both near perfect for pets. Neither is a barker and they are both so laid back - and gentle (almost shy at times), but are very friendly and totally love everyone and any other animal they meet. The one thing that both of them do that drives me crazy - is "They won't come when I call them." Again - your little guy is one good looking little dog! I'm sure you love him to pieces....all you have to do is just look at him and you're in love! Carol Jean |
