I posted this question in the fashion forum but I was afraid that might not be the best place to ask so I am going to put it here too. I am starting to look at sweater, hoodies, etc for winter. Coco has never worn clothes since we've had her but then again that's only been about three months. I don't intend on dressing her up but when it's cold outside I will want her to have something to help keep her warm. Is it difficult to get on and off a hoodie pullover? What's your opinion on winter wear for your furbaby?

I rarely dress Magnus and Zoey too. But for winter, I put them in a sweater. I don't know if it's because Zoey's so much smaller, but she seems more sensitive to cold so if it's really cold, I bundle her up in a small blanket before putting her in the backpack. (she doesn't like to walk much)

Magnus is ok with any type of clothing as long as it's not shoes/boots. Zoey on the other hand turns petrified if I put on any clothing that has sleeves. So I only dress her in sleeveless shirt/sweater.

They both put up a little bit of resistance at first but it didn't last very long. Why don't you take her to the petstore and try some on there? You should try them on her first before buying anyway to make sure it fits well. At least I do... Magnus is one of those "in between" sizes so I always have to try it on him first.

I prefer jackets over sweaters, teddy tolerates them but doesn't like the sweaters going over his head. I would love a hoodie though.

My pups have an array of winter gear. From snowsuits to sweaters they wear it all! I don't find sweatshirts any harder to get them to wear than jackets. No velcro to get stuck in their hair. And they look super cute in hoodies!

The velcro was going to be an issue in my opinion but I was curious about difficulty in pulling on and getting off a hoodie. So, thank you for advice.

I have 2 yorkies and one is easy to dress and the other is difficult. With Prince, I can just lift him up and pull the shirt over his legs and head like I am undressing a kid. Ricky has super LONG legs so I can't do that. I have to carefully fold his legs up and pull them through the holes as he tries to chew on his shirt and my fingers in protest.

One of the a jackets I've got is something that looks like a horse blanket. There is a strap goes under the stomach and has Velcro on the other side and a strap that hooks around his chest. It'seven easier than putting a harness on. I really recommend this for something that's easy on, easy off....like if your dog is just going out for a 5 minute potty break. When my dog was sick, I used it because I didn't want to have to pull a shirt on and off his head. It may not be the most stylish or cutest(not that it's bad looking either)....but it's warm, functional, quick and easy. I've got a sheepskin one that's similar as well..and I've seen quilted ones too

Yeah, velcro can be a pain with longer hair. Hoodies are really cute & no more difficult to get on & off than a sweater or t-shirt. Just scrunch up to put over the head, then reach through each sleeve hole to pull the legs through. Whether they tolerate the hood up or not is another matter. Lexie will wear anything I put on her, sooo......

Thank you for the knowledge. I was pretty sure I was going to choose the hoodie. Now, when we go out "on the town" I will want her to have a pretty sweater. I found some really pretty ones on etsy. They are about $45 but it will be money worth spending when it's cold outside.
